Hi
These about pages are always a challenge and who is really interested about me? Well if you are reading this then I guess that maybe you are or perhaps you just saw something of interest on my channel.
I travel in my Sprinter van in Australia and also given the chance I travel overseas. No matter which country I am in my happy place is outdoors and preferably walking somewhere near the water or amongst trees.
Happy that you've found my channel and hopefully I post some videos that interest you enough to come back again

#132 The Friendliest Country I have Visited
มุมมอง 20119 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
I had all sorts of warnings about traveling to Morocco everything I read said traveling as a female here on your own was not recommended. You would be disrespected, people would make lewd comments and you would be hassled. My experience was the absolute opposite I experienced friendliness, I was welcomed and greeted wherever I went and never ever did I feel insecure or intimidated. And I walked...

Actually as is typical for my type of travel I actually didn’t go shopping however I found many amazing streets where I could have. So many well known high end shops and your chauffeur can wait in the car in the street. I explored so much in just one day and really had a wonderful time in the lesser known areas. #126 Crazy Days near Naples
มุมมอง 19528 วันที่ผ่านมา
People said don’t go there it’s full of crime and dangerous & dirty. But I loved it. I had such a good time firstly exploring the back streets of Naples and into the manic shopping streets. Then I did a couple of crazy busy day trips on my own which was easy peezy. Amalfi Coast multiple types of transport and I went to heaps of places then the huge ruins plus the lesser known places.
#125 The things I learnt about Albania may surprise you
มุมมอง 163หลายเดือนก่อน
Albania was such an interesting place to travel and I only went to 3 cities but each was so different. Of course there were castles, synagogues, parks, mountains, lakes, beaches, oceans, lookouts oh and a few other things that I thought pretty cool. Of course I’ve shared them with you in this video.
#124 Pearls made from Fish - you have to be kidding
มุมมอง 81หลายเดือนก่อน
I kid you not I went to the beautiful lakeside town of Ohrid in North Macedonia and found a totally new type of pearl. I include that as well as a brilliant carver & printer in this video. There is so much to love about Ohrid beautiful churches, turtles up to mischief, a bone museum and more all included here.
#123 Skopje Canyons and Bazaar’s
มุมมอง 150หลายเดือนก่อน
I didn’t know what to expect arriving in Skopje in extremely hot weather. The city was super hot but the canyon was amazingly cool and then a bonus boat ride with a surprise at the end. There is some interesting history in this city including a recent earthquake which I share more details here
#122 Seeing the other side of Belgrade
มุมมอง 2.9Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Who would have known that there is a whole “new” area to Belgrade that very few travelers take time to explore. So glad I went across to Zemun and explored using GPSMyCITY APP. I also found the bohemian area of Belgrade and some war damaged buildings plus lots more including 500 year old buildings & some brilliant but confrontational art work
#121 I met Jovan and had a whole new experience
มุมมอง 131หลายเดือนก่อน
A small city in Serbia that you probably haven’t heard of is Novi Sad. It has a very interesting history and is now becoming the country’s music and art centre. Only there for a couple of nights but went to a fortress, a beach and even a synagogue. In 40° this was one hot city with lots of very kind people.
#120 Still smiling even in crazy winds
มุมมอง 288หลายเดือนก่อน
Ah Budapest a city that’s on lots of people’s bucket list and now I know why. It’s got so many faces and I think I got to see lots of them in my few days there. I got lost in alleys, discovered amazing architecture and art, visited different castles and climbed mountains to get brilliant views. I even spent 3 hours in heated pools. Wow 3 days and 100’s of experiences to share here.
#119 Riding Horses in Vienna

Well to be honest I didn’t get to actually ride a horse but I met lots and got up real close. I also did heaps of walking tours all different and definitely worthwhile. Went to a few palaces apparently there’s 100’s of them and you don’t need to be royalty. So many things to do in this historic city and I try here to share a good selection with you.

View of confluence of Sava and Danube, what is not apparent is that size of Danube is far greater than it appears at th-cam.com/video/ZvuW1PHtQw8/w-d-xo.html as obscuring the view is this huge Large War Island. Google maps will clarify the situation.

Belgrade in ancient times was called Singidunum, a name with Celtic origins. Dun(on) means fortress or an enclosure in Celtic. They are not sure about Singi, but historians think it might mean circle in Celtic.
@@frostflower5555 Well there you go I didn’t know there was any Celtic connection. It certainly was a well placed fortress

Beograd translation would be more like Western city. Beli/Belo in old Slavic means west. Hence Belaruss- Western Russians. my english is bad so i don't dare explaining more😂
@@tajkonderroga Common view is that Beograd means White City. Never head this Beli/Belo meaning as West. It certianly means White.

Nice video❤
@@ASMRJusTravelz Thanks it was an interesting place to explore
Zemun was a separate town up until early 20th century, and it was up to 1918 part of Austro-Hungarian empire so it was even in a different country than Belgrade. Zemun is not New Belgrade, although someone who is not local can't see where it starts since now it's all one urban area. New Belgrade was built after WW2 by socialist regime as symbol of that government to show their strenght, and when it was completed it finally connected Zemun and old Belgrade. Zemun has more down to Earth and relaxed vibe than central Belgrade. 7:31 that's not island, that is other side of Danube, and Belgrade urban neighborhods (Krnjača, Borča) stretch even there although you can't see it from there. Great War Island is on the right in direction of old Belgrade, basically between Zemun and old Belgrade. 11:46 those barracks were mostly built for workers in socialist era as temporary solution or later in 90s for refuges coming from wars in Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo, but several still remained all over the city (there are some even in central Belgrade) because they have unresolved property-legal issues so they are in a kind of limbo where nobody use them but also nobody can't buy them (from who? lol) to build something else. Many were also claimed by people who lived in them (since in socialist era there was a law if you lived in one place for 10-20 years you could basically become owner even if you were a tenant or was living in someone else home for free, it's obviously obsolete now but socialist era had many weird laws which left mess that even today can't be ressolved) so their cases are dragged for years in courts. 12:53 that building is Old Main Railway station that was operational 1884-2018, it was basically closed to make way for Belgrade Waterfront project in the rear of it. New central railway station is further from city center. And that statue is of one of the great medieval Serbian rulers.
I recommend you to visit Zvezdara. It's much prettier than Zemun. Zemun and everything on the other side of the river looks somehow depressing. Zvezdara has completely preserved the spirit and looks of Old Belgrade.
@@mm-gi5mx Oh Zvezdara sounds like my kind of place unfortunately I’ve now left the area and not sure if I’ll return. But thanks for your suggestion and it may be useful to another viewer.
