I was wondering, does orally consuming marijuana by edibles have any negative effects on your skin? I know you mentioned that it minimizes damage, but does that mean there is no damage at all, or can damage still occur from eating edibles? Thank you doctor!

      It really depends on what is causing the lines and how long they've been there. After you stop smoking, over time the skin will improve and lines and wrinkles will overall improve. They may not never completely disappear though. When you stop smoking the skin will certainly look more vibrant than if you were to carry on smoking.,

      It would be interesting to know how many units of dissolving agent were used. Generally speaking, hyalase is very effective at dissolving dermal filler, no matter how old it may be. If they have used an effective dose of hyalase and it’s not dissolved it’s likely something other than dermal filler which is causing the bump. Potentially a granuloma? I would advise having an ultrasound scan of the area to figure out the cause of the bump.

    I used to get a Lazer treatment on my nose and cheeks from alcohol Rosacia. Within 6 months veins would be back and get progressively worse. I'm sober 3 years now at 61 and overall appearance is 30 years younger. When I went in to detox I had to be wheeled in and couldn't even hold a pen to sign my name or take meds. Last leg. Then I went to in patient treatment for 1 year. They took a before photo and I hadn't shaved and had a completely homeless appearance because frankly I was homeless. Then after 1 year they took my discharge photo and it was unbelievable. During that year I began working out and also got in the best physical condition since my early twenties. So people who saw me through the process said i went from looking 75yo entering treatment to 45 at departure. I totally agree the transformation was unreal. Peace everyone. If drinking is killing you inside and out, help us available. Seek it. I'm living proof anything is possible.

    I can almost tell if a woman is an alcoholic or not by looking at their face. They age faster, and makeup doesn't even look good. There are ways to prevent that even with alcoholism but most people don't do the skincare to prevent it. Cleanse, moisturize, and take vitamins... That can make a huge difference. .

      Creams and serums unfortunately have limited to no benefit when it comes to tightening of the skin. The least invasive effective way to tighten skin would be Profhilo. Other methods may include laser based treatments (Morpheus 8 and Endolift). Having a balanced diet is important for healthy skin and prevention but again is unlikely to tighten already loose skin.

    Hi, how can we know this is all smoking? Drinking and other drug use and stress levels and relationship stress and differences in diet and self-care depending on her emotional state… all of this could affect the way she looks. I’m a very healthy eater, slim, workout, meditate, but I recently discovered nicotine is the best thing I’ve ever used for my adhd. I smoke cigarillos to get my brain in a very relaxed state for work and creativity. I’m of course concerned about the long-term affects, especially to my skin. So I’m doing some research without jumping to any conclusions til I understand the exact aging process of smoking. Thank you!

    • @dr.haroonashraf
      @dr.haroonashraf 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi and thanks for the comment! You're right, it's hard to say whether the accelerated ageing in the 'smoking twin' is purely due to smoking; there are likely other factors at play. However, it's hard to refute that smoking does indeed have a noticeable negative impact on the quality and health of our skin. I'll include two studies below that have taken a detailed look at the impact that smoking has on the skin and the ageing process on the skin: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7230126/ www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8330869/

      @@dr.haroonashraf thank you, those are both great. Incontrovertible. This is distressing for me to think about stopping because the stimulant is so relaxing and euphoric for my adhd. Adderall doesn’t even compare and feels zombie like. The cigarellos, since I don’t take the smoke into my lungs, have become a breathing meditation for me out on the deck multiple times daily (I work remotely and I do a lot of great problem solving with cigarello breaks on the deck). I breathe deeply and slowly, then finish with a little draw of smoke that I blow out pretty quickly as it hits my mouth. However, it’s obviously being absorbed since I feel the high quickly, so I’m not in denial that I’m getting a lot of chemicals. I’m 48 and never smoked or even went through a drinking phase in younger years. I’m just starting to feel my age and I’m worried in a year I’ll have a lot of consequences to deal with if I keep this up. I really appreciate your video and comment!! I hope to find an experiential replacement. I have a small ice machine and I go through 6 cups of soft ice daily, it’s really helpful to have something calorie free and satisfying to munch on, when trying to stretch out times between smoking! Take care.

    My mother could drink 2-3 gallons of vodka a week and 5 franzia boxes of wine. Yet she looks 15 years younger than she is at age 73. She is an anomaly. I have been drinking 3-5 alcohoic beverages a week for the last 2 years and it's made a huge impact. So it's time to go dry completely. Besides my GI tract cannot take it anymore and I cannot function with an imbalanced GI tract.

      So, it's all subjective!! I am like your mother. I don't drink that much, but still!
