On Saturday 5th July 1997 - 40 years after John Lennon first met Paul McCartney in St Peter's Church Hall - the Quarry Men Skiffle Group travelled through the streets of Woolton village on the back of a lorry, as they had done on 6th July 1957, and performed in the grounds of Bishop Martin Primary School. awesome
Where's Julia,John,Paul and auntie Mimi in that ground? :*(
Wow, 6th July 1957, In my opinion the most important event in music. John and Paul met here.
If I could invent a time machine I’d dial back to the day Paul and John met. Knowing what I know now and just watch it unfold.
I'll see you there Mark, that is where my time machine will be going.
I’ll be there taking photos. On film of course, no digital for a while.
I’d rather you would go to NYC on the evening of December 8, 1980, with a means to remove a pistol from the hands of a madman.
I just stumbled across this - I never knew it existed. And better yet, I was there visiting from NY to be part of this event in 1997 and actually saw myself on this cideo! What a treat!
This is FANTASTIC - really get a feel of the times. Very pleased this was commemorated and what a great time to share it. Thank you
