I dont know man. 150$ for a flashlight essentially? Its a little better than those OTF knives for 400$
“EDC” culture is getting ridiculous. What happened to having a pocket folder a lighter and a phone? Who has enough pocket space for half this shit anyways.😂
It’s definitely something that you have to really invest into and know you’re going to receive great value from. I see it as a huge space saver and practical functionality to my Loadout. A spotlight, floodlight, power bank (that has removable batteries by the way) and a nice little side light that I can use for utility such as signaling. All of those functions in one light are what sells it to me. If you were to buy all of these things individually then you are spending about the same amount, maybe more. They technically and R&D that Loop Gear has invested into their revolutionary products justifies the cost in my perspective. Also, the Loop Gear SK-03 was much more expensive at launch than it is now. I never see myself paying sticker price for gear. There’s usually ways to get things for a lower cost.
@@mechadoniaI will say, this isn’t a light I’d carry in my pockets everyday. Great to keep in a pouch/backpack. Although I do carry this everyday at work in my 5.11 stryke pants and have no issue with it
@@LoadoutEDC Well i guess i am being harsh here and looking only from my perspective. I would give out 500+ dollaridoos for a new GPU without much thought, and some people would buy collector coins for even more, so why not a flashlight. As long as everyone is having fun.
@ You nailed it! It’s all about perspective. Some things are worth it to some people, and not to others. There are many things that I am unwilling to dish the money out for, and others that I can totally justify it!
Candela is important, I recommend including that detail when covering lights. Most light nerds will be able to judge a light based off the lumen and candela alone, with temperature being a factor that some are particular about. PS. Looks like they don't give out that info. Kinda unfortunate as it's a really good way of judging a lights performance at distance.
I agree, when I first started watching videos on flashlights I was very interested in candela and color temperature. Although I found myself doing that research myself while watching people’s personal thoughts on the light that the website description didn’t cover. Definitely something I’ll take into consideration when producing content. Thanks for the recommendation! 🤙
They do give it out, I reviewed this light ages ago, but Loop-Gear won't let me publish it for some reason
Great review! Your production quality in your videos is impeccable. Keep going, I think you're doing to do well here on YT!
Thank you very much! I really enjoy your content. I recently received a product from Atwood Rope MFG! I’m really excited to check that out and create some content around it!
So heres my prediction for this knife. 1. The price will go up. But hell, as much fanfare as this has, for as much as 50, it would still be a better deal than the bugout. I know that the heat treat will pale compared to Benchmade but probably not by that much. Benchmade is known especially from the 90s to the mid 2000s to be subject to letting some turkeys get out of the house, so it is what it is. But my main prediction for this is that the price will go up by 2 or 2.5x so between 20 to 25 msrp and that will hit on black friday. This may be coupled with scaled pricing for cost efficient multipacks so 1 for the increased price perhaps in a fancy package but bulk packs of 3, 5 and 10 for the original 10. I somewhat expect an increase in color choice perhaps in both handle and blade finish, and on the outside, partial or fill serration options. On cyber monday, the prices will revert to the regular 10 to close out the overstock they are going to have to dump. Then in 2025, the quality will drop because they will reduce the steel to 'stainless' or something like aus8 or 420 variant.
4000 lumens for the IF23 sounds very much like BS. Nitecore and others do that with four LEDs and a huge battery. This reads like kaka to me.
To be fair, I have a Nitecore EDC27 that claims 3000 Lumens on turbo. I will say the IF23 is just about the same brightness as the EDC27 on turbo. I would say its in the 3000-4000 lumen range. It may not be quite 4000 but it is bright! Plus, it holds its brightness unlike the EDC27 that can only burst 3000 for a couple of seconds. That's a win for the IF23 in my books...
solution: get the if23pro
I didnt know the IF23 Pro was even a thing! I only have the 23 and 24. Now I may have to compare the 23/24 Pros!
Also, that's at least 5 inches long!! 1 inch is wayyyyyy off!! 😆😆
Never underestimate! That’s why I call it a monster 😉
That's a lot of lumens for such a little guy!!
Farthest thrower of my flashlight collection!
Awesome ❤
Thank you! 🤙
I saw an lite use video and that shit blade snapped in half in about 2 mins
@@bhudson4739 How did it snap? Under rough use I’d believe that it might not hold up. Under normal uses for a knife, I’ve had no issues. I use tools for what they are intended for with some exceptions. Never would I put so much strain on a knife that it should snap
@LoadoutEDC i went back to check. LOL the guy was battonig wood. 😆 so not regular use. For regular I'm sure it's fine.
@@bhudson4739 Hahaha gotta love it!
@LoadoutEDC I actually took a chance on a $5 ozark tonight. It's got a crossbar lock and white handle. Black coated blade. It seems pretty sweet but the blade info says "stainless steel" so prob 3cr8mov or some other iffy metal. 😆 it's mostly a fidget toy at 5 bucks.. i don't expect much.
Yall think it would open easy in pocket?
Love the intro stinger/vanity card.
Continuity Issue: Gotta catch that open blade 😁
Its $14.35 now as of 10/30 on website and still out of stock but they wanna get more money when it does come back still good deal but not a steal anymore kinda pisses me off
much higher chance of finding them at small town walmarts
as a guy from a small town i can say for sure that NO, small town Walmarts do not have this knife...
I got one and love it. I use it everyday at work. No need to adjust anything it was fast and smooth right off the shelf.
@@randomcuriosities8441 It’s pretty surprising how great it is out of the box! Very sharp too!
I want to keep it always magsafe connected but i use wireless charging on a stand and this is going to annoy.
@@Djinsoul See I used to be the same way. I actually was against using anything MagSafe since it first became a thing. I wireless charge at work and home desk and on my nightstand. But what I came to realize is that is the joy of MagSafe. You can hot swap different accessories quickly and easily. I have a MagSafe wallet and a MagSafe light. While one is on my phone, the other is in my weak side pocket (which used to be my wallet pocket). When it comes to charging, just pop what ever you have on your phone off and set it on the desk. Better yet, your MagSafe accessories are metallic. So sometimes I’ll even put it on a magnetic surface while my phone is charging and I can use that as a makeshift desk lamp. The possibilities are endless!
@@LoadoutEDC makes sense. Im also looking at the ewaste angle on this product. I normally repair almost everything and also buy stuff that can be used for a long time and given that the battery cant be swapped, given its a chinese product, if it ever dies, it will just be a paperweight,, lol. But it's been in my cart for a long time now and I extensively use everything magsafe on my s23 with a pitaka case, i think I'll pull the plug. Never used a wuben product so dont know their durability but will test and see how it goes. Thanks for helping me make a purchase decision.
Is "530v" a troll attempt on steel nerds?
@@PoetFisherman Ha! You could say so! Although I had a definite slip up there 😂
Parece ser una versión alternativa de la ThruNite Catapult Mini 2, pero he llegado a la conclusión que ese tipo de linternas no es para mí, mientras más pequeñas más difíciles de manipular. Saludos desde la Ciudad de México, brother.
It definitely is similar to the ThruNite Catapult Mini 2. Although I have owned both ThruNite and Speras and Speras holds higher standards to their quality at the same price. The M4 also has much farther throw and brighter output. I cant speak on the spread of the beam. Speras has a great tight beam spread with only enough spill to help with situational awareness without taking away from the subject that you are pointing at. Thanks for the comment! 🤙
Oct 17, 2024: You got your wish. There are no longer under $10. Currently, they're $13.96.
@@AViewThroughLensLens I have seen them for $10.28. Where are you seeing $13.96?
@@LoadoutEDC they were on the Walmart website. I bought a few of them from the website, and most recently ordered two. One arrived, the other was canceled. When I tried to order, again, the price had gone up to $13.96, and they were (and, still are) out of stock. I just looked, and am not able to find them on the site, now.
@@AViewThroughLensLens This is madness! Haha I cant believe that they are still getting this much attention. I figured the craze would've died off by now and we would start seeing them sitting on shelves. Unfortunately they will probably continue to go up in price before we start seeing them sitting on shelves and showing in stock on their website...
Yes they are up now $14.36 on website as of 10/30
great vid, I'm a frequent Disneyland goer. I take the Nutsac sling because it's small and easy to carry on rides without having to struggle putting under my legs, and big enough to carry necessities for my daughter and wife.
@@RaulitoElLobito That’s another great option! Having everything I need for the day, while making it ride ready, and water resistant is key! Thanks for the comment! 🤙
I own 6, got the goods early. The best duck breasting knife i own, have one in each bugout and tool kit💯
@@ThueyOutdoors That’s awesome! Glad they are put to great use! My girlfriend uses one of mine all the time. She said it’s her favorite knife because it’s easy to open and slices very well. I have another one in a prep box. If I can get my hands on a couple more that would be great!
Damn, you had me thinking Disney made a sling.
So sorry to let you down! This sling is great to bring to Disney though!
I bought 30 that my walmart had 6 months ago. They havent had any since.
So you are the reason that I can’t get any!
Well I would add if you don’t want to deal with paper straws, you ought to bring your own reusable straw. Maybe even a small medkit for blisters and a pill container for ibuprofen or tums because you never know 🤷♂️
I agree with all of this.
I didn’t even think about the straw thing. Because Disney uses the paper ones don’t they? I don’t mind the bio degradable straws, but the paper ones are horrible! Great points you have there! Definitely something to add that won’t take up much space at all!
Fuck all of you i could not get 1 let alone 2 or 3!!!!! 😅😂😂😂
Cool video! You should do a review on the loop gear flashlight.
I already have one in the works! That video will be dropping early November! Stay tuned. I have GREAT things to say about the SK05. Definitely my favorite flashlight by far. It fits in the hand very well, extremely bright and versatile. Having it as a portable charger is just a bonus.
Very convenient!
click bait
I only spoke the truth 😉Everything I said in the title and thumbnail is what you get in the video
he called it 530V 😂
I get my 5’s and S’s confused… 😅😂
Now that they’re back in stock I had to get the $10 Bugout Out of the package the action is very sticky, need to push on the spine to close the knife all the way. When closed blade is off-center. (On a $10 knife? Shocking! 😂) I can accept less-than-perfect assembly from a knockoff being sold at a $180 discount. But I can’t accept a dull knife. The very first thing I tried to cut was its own Walmart receipt. Nope. Tear-city. “quantum penditur tantum emitur”
Maybe their new batches are lesser quality. The original knife I picked up is much sharper than many more expensive knives that I own. I just bought another one, I’ll have to compare
You got the only dull knife they ever made.
One of the best videos I have seen on realistic and practical edc gear. I am going to create a pouch like this for all my vehicles
Awesome! I’m glad this was helpful! I have plans for an emergency car kit. I’m looking forward to that one. As much as the aesthetically pleasing pouches and gear looks cool, I need my stuff to be practical. If it’s not going to be practical, it’s not making the cut. Thanks for the comment 🤙
Yeah, you girls all need to stick to the bug out so it doesn't print when you wear your skin-tight leggings.
I bought one yesterday. One less knife for you…😂
I appreciate you… 🙄😂
I just picked up 3 at a local walmart. Keep checking online and it will show in stock at some stores once in awhile.
I have been checking online at my local store. It always shows out of stock. There was one time that I actually went to the store and there happened to be one in stock. I got lucky! Although I haven’t seen any since
So this is the video that made everyone go crazy. wow
@@leaguefixesyourmatches8259 You all took what I said so literally 😂
Benchmade bugout is $180? It's not 18 times better than the ozark.
Exactly! Great knives, but I’d rather buy 18 of these!
This was the first ever sharpening system I bought over a decade ago, and it boounced me off sharpening for a long time. First off, it's very hard to get a consistent bevel on knives that dont have a flat spot for the clamp. This is especially true close to the tip or on knives with lots of belly. Any blade bigger than 4-5" is basically impossible to sharpen because of the length of the rods. The other big issue for me is the stones. The set screws come loose pretty easily and can crack the plastic housing. Oil stones are pretty slow and load up really quickly, which gets frustrating after a while. Also, forget about sharpening any particularly hard or super steels. If you're dead set on a guided sharpening system, Work Sharp makes a much better option for like $10 more. It's also a clamp system like the lansky, but it comes with a table base, uses diamond stones instead of oil, and has 5 finer angle adjustment.
Thanks for the comment! I checked out that work sharp sharpener and I can totally see where you’re coming from. Something I should consider. So far with the knives I have tested, this Lansky Sharpener does alright, but I could see it running into issues with different blades and tougher material
I'm really annoyed with the knife 'community' about this. I can't afford expensive knives. Just can't. I got a Bugout Mini as my 'lifetime' knife. It has been my EDC for 18 months. Love it. This $10 job would have been great as a "don't care if I damage it" knife to use in certain situations. But can I do that? Nope. Sold out forever. It isn't even listed on their website. I've seen comment after comment like "I bought 10" or "I bought 5". For what purpose? Just so selfish. When I went to my local Walmart they did still have the display knife in the case but wouldn't sell it to me. The person helping me said they just sold the last 5 to someone earlier. Really?! Why can't you just buy one and enjoy it? Selfish people ruining for everyone.
People aren’t buying them to keep, they are buying them by 5 and 10 to try to double or triple their money on places like eBay, etc. and you are correct it’s not right.
@@kevinwine1985you're dumb I bought 2 because I had one fail. I still use mine occasionally.
Benchmade is overpriced should've gotten a good kizer.
I liked your video. Only one i saw so far showing the backpack
Thank you very much!
I recommend watching outdoors55 video on the pull through sharpeners. You will probably never use it again 😅
8:18 Just my opinion, but I’d create a burr along the entire edge before switching to the other side… but I have almost no experience with guided systems as I freehand with diamond plates. 13:16 Oh man, that is painful to watch 🥲. Don’t use pull-through sharpener. Pick up a Worksharp Guided Field Sharpener for ~$30. Thanks for the video.
I have done freehand with kitchen knives and definitely have some practice to do. I feel like i can do a decent job but don’t feel very confident. I have a Worksharp field sharpener as well, but even that is slightly freehand with a bit of a guide. The pull through sharpeners are at least good to start off if you don’t feel comfortable with anything else. More of a better than nothing in my opinion
@LoadoutEDC nah, I think that leads to complacency with a bad edge. A good edge needs the micro teeth that form from your stroking angle, pull-through knife sharpeners rip off all those teeth. A pull through can make a blade cut, it won't make a blade slice.
My Bugout 535BK-4 is better is every way but its also more expensive by a few miles.
Just a few miles 😜
I bought 2, and I like them very much. For all I need, they're just fine.
These things are sharp too!
I ordered 4 on ebay for $36
Was it an auction? Thats crazy!
I dyed the scales on mine now it’s 100 times better! Love it!
What color? That seems to be the way to go. Custom $10 knife 😎
@@LoadoutEDC I did mine in purple. Just make sure whatever color you do it’s darker than the orange.
@@Tacodog660How did you dye it? Rit fabric dye?
@@StayHomeEatGreat yeah. I just boiled some water and added the dye to it and held the knife in the cup. Checked it about every 30 seconds to see how dark it was. When i liked it I washed and dried it. Then oiled it
this knife is badass
@@MrCrossj There are so many mixed reviews but it’s been great to me. Sharp out of the box and $10.

Stop buying overpriced products stop encouraging people to buy overpriced products for edc like Knipex pliers smh and overpriced Benchmade knives smh
Yes buy 10 dollars knives made by exploited workers
For sure, although Knipex pliers are surprisingly useful out in the field. Having a pair in your pocket can be very practical and take up such little pocket space. The upfront cost is a little much. But there aren’t really cheaper alternatives out there
I had purchased 5 for stocking stuffers and never opened them. After watching some negative reviews, I returned them. The orange handles didn’t match or look good. (3 knives Looked off color)
