Why do you dump the small stuff with the brush? Is it all 2 be chipped?
Can’t speak for how they run but we dump the smaller stuff (called brash/brush) on the ground to act as a mat. When it gets boggy it helps keep machines above the ground especially the forwarder which collects the logs as it weighs a lot. 🙂

look like mature Trees, they get clear felled here in the uk anywhere after 35 / 40 years!
