Cultural Seattle & Pioneer Square
Went to Benaroya Hall for Seattle Symphony Christmas performance. After the show, we walked around Downtown Seattle, passed by Art Museum, toured Pioneer Square, then finally stopped by Seattle Public Library. Very windy day with bit drizzle, but Downtown Seattle is in very good shape, it's a pleasant experience to walk around Pioneer square.

Short hike in this quiet neighborhood trail during rain break.
East Lake Sammamish Trail
มุมมอง 21วันที่ผ่านมา
A wide, flat, and paved trail from end to end, it is in great condition and easy for everyone. The only challenge here is distance, 14 miles. The lake was foggy in the morning, then sunny in the early afternoon. The lake views were unique and beautiful in both cases. Mount Rainier was visible at Sammamish Landing as well. Also, great bird watching all the way, bald eagle, yes, geese, ducks, etc.
Ridge Loop to Old Indian Loop
มุมมอง 1621 วันที่ผ่านมา
We planned to go to Cedar River Trail - East End, but the road was closed, so we hiked this nearby one. The trail is muddy especially the southern Ridge Loop, and quite some falling trees on the trail after the bomb cyclone, especially the northern Old Indian trail.

Autumn in Idylwood Park

A very quiet neighborhood park, Idylwood park offers great fall colors as well as great view of Lake Sammamish. The walking length fits well into a short rain break.

Gas Works Park Loop

Nice walk since we were nearby in Fremont. The place was originally for coal gasification, the city bought decades back, it has very beautiful view of Lake Union and Downtown Seattle skyline, plus the space needle.
Hiram M Chittenden Locks aka Ballard Locks
มุมมอง 45หลายเดือนก่อน
Went to Ballard Locks this week, parking was easy on Sunday morning. The locks provide very unique experience to see how boats travel from the Sound at sea level to Lake Washington through gates. Regarding the trail, how to cross the locks depends on which gate is open or close. I haven't seen large ships going through the canal yet. We didn't see any salmons at Fish Ladder windows, September i...
Seattle Waterfront Pathway & Overlook Walk & Pike Place & Gum Wall
มุมมอง 2522 หลายเดือนก่อน
We took on the Elliott Bay Trail this week, also wanted to check out the new project - Overlook Walk. We street-parked at downtown Seattle on Sunday, so we could visit Overlook Walk first, although the other end of the trail closing to Port of Seattle facility having easy street parking, like 20th and 21st Aves. Along the way to Overlook, we encountered Norwegian cruise disembarkation, quite bu...
Palouse to Cascade SP Trail Viewpoint (AI generated)
มุมมอง 42 หลายเดือนก่อน
I tried this one today, gave it up after about a quarter mile off the main Palouse to Cascade SP Trail. The off-road trail is rocky, steep, unmaintained, covered with mosses. After a while, I could not figure out the path even with downloaded map on hand. Don't recommend this one to most regular hikers. BTW, this is not the Mt Washington Trail.
MRNP - Emmons Moraine Trail (AI generated)
มุมมอง 122 หลายเดือนก่อน
We went to Emmons Moraine Trail on National Public Lands Day. Not crowded, enough parking, weather was great. We started with Glacier Basin Trail, which is easy and well maintained in a beautiful state. Quite a few little creeks and falls along the way. I called it 'Golden' trail, since it is covered with fallen needles. Emmons Moraine is a bit different, section of it is on the edge, which off...

I did this hike two weeks ago... didn't have it in me to make it to the upper, but the middle falls was definitely worth the trip. thanks for the video!!!
Actually the middle one has full view of the falls.

Hi - we are looking for a missing hiker (Ellery - female, 23) who was last seen on this trail yesterday (8/28/21). Please let me know if you think you may have any tips that could help us with the timeline.
Sorry to hear that, I am afraid that I have no information about Ellery, but hope she is safe.
