My pc is pretty alright. It's not the best thing in the world but I can currently play Hades 2 on max, DMC5 on high and RoR2 on max, all played off an SD card cuz I didn't have money for a good hard drive at the time. And playing games off an SD card is supposed to give a worse player experience. And then I run FNF and I literally couldn't play the full WeekEnd 1 till this newest patch, straight up. It worked fine on Newgrounds but it has to run in browser and chrome sucked up most of that RAM, so

Yeah, pretty much everything that's on those patch notes happened to me. I literally couldn't play WeekEnd 1 till this patch and I couldn't have a smooth player experience till this patch.

I tend to disagree. I literally wasn't able to play Blazin' till now. In the previous patch I had to force it to load and that didn't track the progress. And I get it, it's an indie game, indies have that luxury of being taken at face value. However the FNF crew has shown that they can put out stable versions back when they did this as a pet project. Since then they've been able to gather tons of support and tons of funding. Literally life changing amounts of money in order to actually do this right. And instead they made us wait for 4 songs and a few remixes. Not only were all leaked ahead of time but was also shown to be done 2 years ago. The only thing not leaked was the new engine and Nightmare difficulty, as far as I know. So yeah, I kinda need to be harsh. I know more stuff is on the way but if I praise them for an update this bad performance wise, they'll continue to put out updates that run this awful, if not worse. If we want a better experience we gotta let it be known.

@@CrimsoniteSP Honestly i dont think its necessary due to the fact that they are able to realize the main problem of the update which wasn't really the content (unless you see it that way), rather the performance, of course we need to make it known the problems with it but we can't just obviously be that harsh too. I think that's all lol

@@GonTheGhost So, let's put it this way, WeekEnd 1 is where the community's $2M went. Is this acceptable for 2 million dollars? And yes, I know that most of that funding went to hiring people, making a new engine and merch. However, look up Sully. He's been documenting FNF's development every year and every year just got more disappointing with Kickstarter backers being neglected, general silence and not a ton of communication from the devs, period. I'm really harsh as not just a frustrated fan but a frustrated customer as well, and I'm not alone with that.

@@CrimsoniteSP No weekend 1 was not where the 2 million went 😭2 million went for the whole ass game as a whole and we got 60% of that done (said by phantom arcade himself), they are just trying to polish what they can to be able to ship proper updates while also reworking the game as a whole, do i think that they managed the updates poorly? Definitely but they are working on the game

@@GonTheGhost It's 60% done conceptually. He went on to say how it's been rather difficult getting all of it translated into the game. That coding and working on music has been harder than expected.

I literally can't get it to work unless I'm running it through Powershell.

@@CrimsoniteSP Bro, what. 😭 I haven't experienced ANYTHING wrong with my copy other than the loading screen not appearing on some Erect remixes, I think it might be your PC, or a compatibility issue with certain PC's like yours, wild lol

@@pillowcaseee Same here I haven't had any issues and when I play the newgrounds version it loads fast and runs perfectly fine same with the downloadable version

@@pillowcaseee Unsure. Newgrounds and Itch work fine, they just run at 45-60fps for some reason. The downloadable version technically works fine, it's just the WeekEnd 1 that's screwed up. Specifically the last song, as showcased in the video.

Yeah, I know. I'm mostly picking on it for the state it's currently in. I still agree we should have gotten smaller updates, basically drip feeding the community instead of basically little to no communication, but I do know there's more planned. Most of my frustration basically lies in if I want to play the new week, I have to do it in a browser on Newgrounds in 60fps, and the vast majority of what we got in this update is already stuff that's been leaked years ago. We knew they've been done with most of this for a long while and just decided not to say anything. However, I'd be ignorant to not realize the majority of that time spent could have been on the new engine, basically overhauling the entire game to make modding and future development easier and less stressful. So yes, it's by far the best update FNF has ever had, it's just not in it's best state and that's valid criticism.

@@CrimsoniteSP Yeah fair enough, I just wanna make sure that you know theres stuff coming up and its not just this. I get that its frustrating to wait three years for this minor update yeah, but hopefully by the end of the year it'll be worth it with so many new updates out.

@@MarkedAman Fair enough. It appears this is probably the first time you've come across my channel. If so, welcome, but here I've indulged in all things FNF since like Week 5, 6 probably. I've played since Week 4's release but didn't get into it as much till 5-6. So much so it's literally my channel's identity. I pretty much try and keep up with the news of FNF and then make memes or show my stances on it's development. Not because the game is popular but because I'm genuinely interested in this game like no other. And I want to know where it's going, what's new and what it's development is going to be like. If there's anything new going on, I know. And if I didn't know, I will know in before a video is posted. Like I know WeekEnd 1 technically does have a fix using Windows Powershell, but honestly you shouldn't have to run a game through something specific just to run it unless the game devs tell you up front that you have to. Since they haven't, this is a bug, I featured it on this video to raise more awareness of how unplayable it can be.

Weekend 1 is technically the 8th playable week

Well I don't plan on going anywhere, lol. I've made over 200 videos over the course of a decade. Not all of it was good but it was certainly work and I'm keeping it up.

Yes, but "week 8" is what 99% of the community expected. If they hear about the update, they aren't typing "weekend 1." And it is technically the 8th playable week. Basically in the chance my video got pushed, it'd be more likely to grab a click from people whom may not be in the know.

I completely understand, I've ranted a lot and made a video about PvZ3's new release which was around 2 years ago, and I was pretty harsh, it's funny to look back at it lol.

I also agree. 2 years for this is kinda underwhelming compared to what the modding scene can make. But I'm happy they gave us something and hope the game gets fixed in the coming days
