What does it mean to be generous? What does the bible tell us about it? Why should we give to those less fortunate? What will we get in return?
Psalm 37:26 - They [the righteous] are always generous and lend freely; their children will be a blessing.
Psalm 112:5 - Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.
Proverbs 19:17 - Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.
Matthew 10:42 - And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.
Romans 12:13 - Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
Galatians 6:2 - Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
1 John 3:17 - If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?

The Essence of Easter was that it was a PAGAN FERTILITY celebration. Easter actually originated as an ancient pagan celebration of the spring equinox. Just like Christmas was a Pagan Winter Equinox celebration. But of course Christians have to steal Pagan Holidays for themselves.
