The rate of speech’s first dietician is way too fast
Hmm, we’re still missing something though. I have IBS and even when I am deeply relaxed I still have IBS, it doesn’t change. I have been meditating for years and enter deep states of peace and wholeness. I am on this quest to restore my symptoms to health. This is all connected for me: PTSD, Fibromyalgia, and IBS for over 2 decades. I know it is a vagus nerve and central nervous system issue. So far nothing has resolved these issues, I will keep trying different things. There has to be a way to heal all 3, as they are linked.
Find any repressed anger, own it, and get it out of your system. Integrate those memories associated with the angry feelings. Then own healthy aggression and learn to be assertive. A regulated nervous system is not about being peaceful and calm all the time. It is more about being authentic to ourSELF, owning our feelings, and getting comfortable with healthy aggression.
@@mustangjane77 Great response! Yes I am finding this to be true. Not just anger/aggression, but all emotions involved in being authentic Self as well. I think you’re right that this kind of expression creates a healthy nervous system
I am learning to listen to myself so after a feeling of anxiety I do something to calm my nervous system down. It doesn’t have to take long. Our systems need to know that after it reacts it can go back to calm - it is working on the recovery rate rather. I am going to try cryo therapy too which is staid to help it’s.
Maybe look up cervical instability I was reading that a research paper found I think by Katz that straight neck is common in fibromyalgia
@@zakyvids6566 oh my gosh thanks for this tip! I do have straight neck! A chiropractor showed it to me on X-rays and it was very pronounced. I just found that article too. This is something I’m going to look into, it seems to be connected.

So… having IBS. And an anxiety disorder. Amongst other mental health categories…. Just screwed, then? It does feel pretty hopeless sometimes.
How is it tested ?
Before 2017 i was very healthy and slim. After traumatized breakup relationship i got ill later in that year, hypothyoroid hashimoto problems... now after 5 years i got still this and docter is helping me good enough. If i dont take medication my thyoroid hormons getting worse, if i do take meds i get irritaties in stomach living and sort of diaree like more as a cow... hormonale i am not in balance. Because i feel weak, depressed, hart beat skipping etc. I feel like i am at the end of my life like i will die early... it is horrible. I try investigate myself on internet or read books, try out supplements... plus i weigh 15 kg more, so feel bad about this too!! I wish i was like before 2017 !

Thank you so much for conducting this interview with the two world experts in their field that have dedicated their entire lives to improving our understankndg of what depression is and how it can be effectively treated. Such a clear concise and logically evidence based discussion.
Finally, an explanation why my stomach hurts more when anxious, and stressed.
When comparing exercise or placebo to SSRI’s in terms of ‘relapse’ it should be considered that there are no side effects or withdrawal symptoms from exercise or placebos and that negative symptoms are most likely to be withdrawal from the drug rather than ‘relapse’. This knowledge could prevent people being put back on/kept on these drugs. The tapering should be very gradual as well - as in over 6 months or more, not a couple of weeks.
Look into brain,gut health. MICROBIOME
Probiotics, fermented foods. Serotonin is made in the gut, sent to the brain🎉
don't forget the non-serotonin antidepressants like Wellbutrin and Strattera, there's evidence that they work. The problem is that SSRI's are the default first choice
Hey Claire I just subscribed
Anti depressants disconnect the emotional brain from the noise brain, Leaving you feeling nothing at all Its so obvious they learned LSD was the best medication for mental issues, Banned it and then because of the clear gap in medication They created a drug that prevents you from FEELING LSD in the emotional brain And Sedated everyone on an addictive sedative
the best antidepressant is a cat.
A succinct explanation of the vague nerve. Thank you.
Psychedelics worked beautifully for me. On meds from 13 to 48 . I'm not on anything now. Psychedelics healed me from the trauma that caused my suffering. They are a game changer. They cure addiction, too.
I had surgery a year ago and ended up with constipation that's still not corrected. I researched it, and from what I found the opioids used in the surgery can cause constipation. Damage to nerves was the stated problem in the GI tract with this drug. I've under care with a Gastro MD, who prescribed three different drugs to no affect.
Been a long time since you wrote this, are you still suffering with constipation? I got bad IBS and severe constipation, what helped was supplements with potassium and magnesium over time. I also needed to change my diet and avoid certain foods. I go right back to constipation if I dont follow the diet.
I'm skeptical but if I could find a dr who uses hypnotherapy I'd definitely give it a try
