I watch this video every time I feel uninspired, and it always makes me excited to dive into my stash again. Don’t laugh, but I would love it if you made another video like this. It never gets old!

Did you dip the music sheet into the clean water after marbling it? I'm curious whether or not that paper would hold up when dipped a second time. Been wanting to try this.

Great video! Have you tried this with 3D objects like a vase or wood? Also, did you prep the papers with alum before dipping? I wish there were a way to use the acrylic craft paints I already have, the last thing i need in my stash is another variety of paint! LOL Thanks for the video.

You made fabulous papers 😍 Once I’ve got my gel plates out I don’t stop printing until I have no more space to leave the prints to dry 😂. My three favourite things to make prints with are bubble wrap, leaves and feathers.

I love to gelli print also! I would love to see ideas that you will use for all the glorious papers. ❤

I need to get my little gel plate out and make some more papers because you said you can never have too many... so that means I need more! I'm curious what assignments do you give your students? Are they like this mixed media thing? Or art history? Art journaling? I know that's probably an odd thing to be curious about but I loved art so much in school, so I'm curious what you and your students do. Sometimes I pretend that what I'm playing with is an "art assigment" or "project" because I had such fond memories of it in school :)

Ophelua, I always live your videos, but especially the gel printing ones. I love to gel print! And it is so hard to stop! I use a lit of stencils, but if I could only have a few things to print with they would be bubble wrap, shelf liner, and my Lego base--yes I have one too! Mi e is smaller though. TFS!

Thanks for sharing your process Ophelia, I appreciate your honesty. I love your style and comfort zone colors so much. For me, sometimes making myself use unfamiliar colors or combinations of colors can be an exciting journey. Even if I don't like it, I usually learn something.

Thanks for sharing, I love your style; I see so many things, like in the first painting I sometimes feel like there’s a highway in a desert with power lines and signage. I like pieces that take me on a curious journey. One of the reasons I switched to oil paints from acrylics is due to the mixing time to blend the colors I was looking for. I can see how the Charvin acrylic landscape pallet would work for my process because I blend a lot of pastel colors on my initial layers, increasing saturation and chroma progressively. I’ll probably give them a try as I still use acrylic on my underpainting and base layers-I like the way oil paints onto acrylics too, so bonus.

My father developed dementia in his early 70s. My mother had died of cancer years before. I was commuting 50 miles to work at the time so I am familiar with the stresses involved with trying to care for an ailing aged parent. I just recently began to create a journal and found your video inspirational.
