I had the same problem, it isn’t the key, if there’s a problem with picking up the key then the blue ring won’t appear. Mine was fixed by playing with the seat and fuel buttons, when one of them is pressed then the ignition won’t rotate even with the key. Hope it helps 😊

Hi Jack, as you were discussing the screen I was waiting for an opinion or description of how it performed against the standard screen, probably why most people change it. Unfortunately not a mention, good attempt but perhaps some notes to keep you on track. I stopped watching after that as I guessed that's how it would be all the way through.
Years ago possibly late 90s. A few of us went for a ride out cross country to Scarborough with a ride around Olivers Mount as a treat. Lead by someone who raced there often but first for him on a road bike. We were split some with alarms and some not. We stopped for a chat on the finish line, but when setting off again all bikes with alarms would not start. After about 15 minutes the racer rang a local friend who suggested the aerial tower close by was a known problem and all we had to do was push our bikes a 100 yards or so away . Sorted. These days signals are everywhere which might be your problem so might need to try and block the signal to the unit on your bike.
A bit late to the conversation here. Strange how TH-cam clips pop up. My wife’s VW had exactly the same issue when you parked in car parks where there was overhead lighting. We had to push it in order to get the fob to work. Give me a key anyway.
this happens when you have some interference with the fob frequency ... barcode scanners, microwave ovens, cheap wlan routers, ip cams, even mobile phones can interfere with FOBs..... make a picture of your security pincode with ur phone. you can start the bike even without a FOB when u have the security pincode...... u will never get stranded. i have a ADV and PCX both with the Fobs and tryed alot..... sometimes the mobile phone distorts the FOB frequency in the right moment and then it cant communicate... not a big deal, change ur position and it works....by the way the receiver is behind the right side cover near the the on/off button
You could put a newer key startrr that has a remote starter on the remote you could start it up without sticking the key in the ignition.

I had a Forza 300 for 5 years with the same keyless system with no problems and just bought a ADV 350 & again no problems. Brilliant bikes, problem free , strongly recommended.
2 min in and nothing about the bike--bye

I'm not alone. Had this issue two times so far with Forza 350. First time I opened seat manually and just removed battery cover. After this, it started working. Second time I just manual opened and closed smartcase with key. Then I was able to start the bike. I suspect some poor contact in keyless receiver circuit or receiver fault itself (pcb welding problem?). Both cases are hard to diagnose :-(
If its not starting in special areas but you need to than use the keypas funtion on the starter knob to force the system on. Its a bummer to enter the numbers but take less time than waiting 5 to 15min to get the fob connected.
Same problem... Several times...
If you press the motorcycle button for long it closes. And then press once again everything is turning to normal. Happened to me twice 😮

keyless system is a complete broken money grab, also here they just replace the system and prices are crazy, 1k usd+
Never an issue with me in nearly 3000 miles, push the button down and then turn it.
Apparently the REAL problem nowadays is not modern technology, but people who have become too lazy to even read an instruction manual... Modern technology may be the problem here, but not because it doesn't work, but because it makes people lazy and stupid so that they can no longer understand it. It's kind of paradoxical, isn't it? It makes our lives so easy that one day we forget how to use it, which will make our lives pretty hard lol
My super cub has close to the same the same ignition switch. I got sick of it and replaced it with a regular keyed ignition for a grom. All I had to do was add the right pins on the end and it works great. Still need to keep the keyfob on my keys for the immobilizer but it works great
Suspension is too harsh and standard brake pads are poor apart from that it’s blinding.
Had this issue before I realised that you have to press the lower button on the fob until the red flashing light goes green,and then everything will work again TRY IT 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Had the same happen to me . I'm pretty technophobic anyway so it doesn't take much for me to get confused!

You have to search in TH-cam the solution for that issue.. Its very simples to solve...

2 years with Sh125i keyless as yours, never had a single issue with it whatsoever, if anything it's me who forgets to push it first before turning lol. Please don't sell it, it's a great scooter many can't even afford to own or not available where they're from.
I have a Forza 350, LOVE THE FOB! I may be wrong, but I think you have to press the dial downwards as you turn it. Not doing so could have damaged it. Only heard of one other person having that problem. So it may be you, not the bike at fault. Apart from that, good review.
Yes sir I’m the same way I’m 48 and 155 lbs 1200 Sportster is enough for me.
Well you're too close to the store entrance. Those gates that beep when you try to steal something prevent the key from working
Turn the fob off until red light shows and then turn on until green light shows.
Change the battery your fob.. even if it's brand new. try that and see what happens.

I bought the Indy arrow with the carbon end its so terrible loud iven with the db killer it killed mi top speed by 20 km i had to remove it because it was driving me crazy i bought the catalytic with the hope to make it lees noisy but l feel so bored to replace it again
Could be you need to hold the rear brake in mate , for the millionth time.
I had a similar experience with key security and starting on an expensive Can Am Spyder RTS a couple years ago. Key was chipped and the chip had to talk to a security module about a metre from the key hole. Always caused a non start when you actually wanted it to start. Maybe put the fob next to the security module. On my current Kymco that place is marked with a symbol on the bodywork above glovebox. On the two Kymco scooters I now own and both have fobs, I have never had a starting issue. One is the AK550 and other the Agility 300. Both always start first time.
It's a Brexit thing, I never get the Fob problem in Europe. Looks like an operator error push the knob down.
Fobs turned off. You could see the red light 😂
Dont put mob and key in same pocket. Mobile interfere than. Be aware that mob is not between key and lock and everything is going to be good!!!
Where did you buy from
Your FOB / Startup Switch. Is it as simple as you are not sitting on the seat. It may have a sensor in there somewhere that only picks up on your weight on the seat?? I have the same with a Yamaha, not a Honda. The worst thing is that it isn’t or doesn’t happen all the yime!! 😮

Mate, this looks like a right pain. I have had a 300 forza, a vision and now have an SH125 all with the keyless thing and never had a problem. I can’t understand how Honda can get it wrong on this bike, must be a dodgy batch of components. Hope you manage to get it sorted.
