Kilchoman Distillery
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 4 ต.ค. 2011
Islay's Farm Distillery
Established in 2005, Kilchoman (pronounced Kilhoman) is one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland. Based on a farm on the rugged west coast of Islay Kilchoman is the first distillery to be built on the Island for 125 years. Kilchoman gives everyone the chance to see what is best about the grass-roots traditions of malt distilling.
As well as being one of only a handful of distilleries still practicing floor malting we also grow our own barley at the distillery, completing all parts of the production process at the distillery - from barley to bottling.

100% Islay 14th Edition
The 9 Year Old 100% Islay 14th Edition was distilled from our 2013 and 2014 barley harvests before being matured in selected bourbon and oloroso sherry casks.
The 9:1 ratio of bourbon to sherry cask maturation has created layers of vanilla, butterscotch and rich fruity character that balance beautifully with the natural citrus sweetness and floral peat smoke of our 100% Islay spirit.

❤genial
I am so looking forward to this release! It was so dreamy to see James and Anthony in this field of Barley! So grateful to ImpEx for bringing this to the US and for Spec's to bring it to Texas! Cannot wait!
For me this is THE Kilchoman Whisky. I prefer the ones with a few sherry casks and mostly bourbon. Had 8, 9, & 10 and I need to get this one as the older casks sound great. Cheers
❤
at 0:13 90% bourbon and 10€ cherry 🍒 ?
I've been trying to get hold of your 13th Edition 100% Islay, 100% Ex-Bourbon barrel, without success. None of the online stores like MofM or TWE seem to have it in stock.

Hello kilchoman team
Use your finger to see 360 degrees
Amazing😂
I recently tasted your Sanaig version. It is now by far my best NAS whiskey in my collection (100+.) A fantastic symphony of flavours. Brilliant work. Now remember to maintain the quality of this little wonder. (Batch variations are of course natural and a charm of a natural product like whiskey. )
Kilchoman - it's fantastic!
I really hope that this is just a special edition and the following 16 year old releases will not have such an outrageous price.
With the shortage of bourbon barrels, no plans for distilling corn yourselves into fresh american oak barrels?
Will you release a 16yo again in 2024? Or was it a one-off?
From what I hear it's gorgeous. Sadly I'm not an investment banker... Also, with the looming crisis in the whisky market, even quality whisky will be a much harder sell at these prices in 2024 and beyond. A lot of your output in the € 80 - 130 range will move so much more slowly soon. Watch out!
This is one of the better 100% Islays. Really nice.
I am a great fan of Kilchoman and have a large collection of the 100% Islay 5th,6th,7th and 9th Editions. I'm looking forward to buying bottles of the 13th Edition. I just wanted to ask how you could justify a price tag of £230 for a bottle of 16 Year Old Kilchoman? There are 5,000 bottles available. Were you trying to avoid the Springbank flipping problem?
Just released today in Sweden! Looking forward getting my bottle! Slàinte Mhath!
I cant believe you got Hugh Jackman to do the interview!
Very nice guy! Hope to see you mid 2024 during a week of Islay!
Visitied Kilchoman last week... the bottle is almost 200£. Sorry but that's just too much... and yes I know the prices from Ardbeg, Lagavulin and others... perhaps 200£ is today's market price for a 16yo Islay but I don't think it's sustainable in the long run.
We met Robin once during Feis. It was years ago, during Feis 2019. He was very kind.
I understand your Story and respect your hard Work but 230€ for a 16yo Batch is not OK. I wont buy it. I really loved many of your Expressions before but this is just greedy. Thank you. P.S. Sorry i'm just dissapointed that a favorite Distillery joined the Ardbeg-Game.😢
Any plans for 100% Islay with a 10 year age statement?
Great video
Congrats you guys!!!
when release this bottle?
It was released last week. Limited to just over 5,000 bottles. Let us know if you need help finding a bottle
I would love to get my mitts on a bottle of this!!!
The 100% Isla are my favorite Kilchoman! I have had 8, 9 & 10. The ones with the sherry cask's are my favorite, but for me I'm just getting more depth and complexity as from the information on the tag there is only a few sherry butts with a lot of bourbon cask's in the vatting. Cheers
Wish we could get this in Memphis Tennessee!
So epic. Beautiful animation. High quality
Very high end cinematography. Fitting for such a fine whisky! Would love to know who produced these!
Sadly this is hard to find in the states
Interesting that the wet peat can burn.
Can't wait for this one! Loch Gorm is one of our favorite annual releases - gorgeous combination of smoke and nutty, fruity sherry.
It was released months ago, but it's flat. Too young this year.
Looks like an amazing trip! Looking forward to the upcoming sherry matured releases - Kilchoman is great in a wine cask!
Thanks both, that was a slot of fun. Loved all the whiskies but the Fèis release is a bit special.
I just love these live streams from Kilchoman! I wish you would do more! You all are hilarious! Thanks so much for allowing us to be a part of Feis Ile 2023!
In this moment in my glass.... great dram ❤
Woodglut comes with very useful plans with all the details you need.
When you open the casks to sample, does the change in liquid to air ratio change the outcome at all?
This is just fantastic
Perfect whisky as to me. It's Islay and has its character. 46 degrees emphasize its uniqueness.
Lovely dram. Just the right amount of Oloroso to give it some depth and fruitiness, but not too much to make it overwhelming. Could have used a bit more peatiness imo though.
Great live tasting. Thank you!
Thank you very much
Thanks for joining Diane, hope you enjoyed the drams.
We did!! . They are all different yet very enjoyable . Cheers
Indeed, good variety
Love when you cant hide the cheesy smell of the rotten peat as you try to explain it as a "wonderful" thing, big LOL!
Why is it so hard to find this. Rang so many W shops, cant get it anywhere yet, pretty sure it will sell out immediately. Great for you but not all of us.
Красавцы 👍🇷🇺
