@@YanLombardi I just did my 2nd drivers course out there last weekend. Stock 2015 BRZ w upgraded brakes, shocks, and tires. Everything else is stock. What suspension you running and did you change out the rear lower control arms, trialing arm, and toe arms to get the camber you need?

Yes, stock pads. I think I had around -2 camber and 0 toe

Stock car with plenty of fire suppression material, cars normally don't just crash and catch on fire. Also a long sleeve t-shirt and long pants that is the minimum requirement at most track days isn't going to do anything more to protect you than a t-shirt and shorts. Sure there is a risk the car could catch on fire and he could be passed out and not be able to get out, but highly unlikely. There is always some risk, no organization requires fire suppression on street cars nor do they require a fire suit. Would it make it safer? Sure, but not necessary IMO.

I think I have a GoPro 9. Tackform is the mount

I have use a GoPro mounted on the headrest. You can adjust the exposure on the GoPro so that you can see the outside of the car

That’s a good question! For me, yes, it’s worth it. But for the price point of the SS 1LE you can’t go wrong with it - such a bargain for what it is

@@YanLombardi thanks for your input, yeah I'm on the fence about I have a ss 1le which is mostly driven on the streets with occasional track days.

I’ve owned it for a little over 2 months now and I love the car. It is the perfect weekend/track toy. No issues at all and the car is 100% stock

Thanks! I use a very basic external mic attached to my bumper with tape over it so the wind noise is not so bad and connected to my GoPro. I had so many audio issues that day (as you can see on the video) but it usually works pretty well

@@YanLombardi What are the biggest differences you feel between it and the SS 1LE, besides the obvious power discrepancy? Does the extra aero, and the DSSV dampers have major advantages over the SS?

@@danieldickerson4838 power and gearing are very noticeable as you mentioned. The car definitely handles better than the SS 1LE (a lot less body roll/more grip) the DSSV dampers are not very curb friendly though. My cornering speeds were very similar to my best lap with the SS 1LE but the reason for that is that I’m still not used to the car. Next time I’ll definitely be more confident to carry more speeds on the corners

I'm glad you got a stick also, I could not imagine an automatic in a car like this, a stick is just so much more fun and faster on the track also in the hands of a good driver.

@@user-Dr. like don’t get me wrong I don’t think auto is bad for let’s say a truck or suv or any regular road car. But for something with power, and that is something special that isn’t everyday traffic. I believe manual is the only way to go. You experience every aspect of a car and it feels like a real driving experience. Weird to explain but it’s all I’ve ever wanted in a car.

@@YanLombardi Thought so! The NPP sounds GREAT from outside - just wish it was louder for the driver.
