The double crochet you do at the start of a corner looks like a different technique than I have seen in the past. Do you have a slow tutorial video on how to do that alternate DC to start a row? Beautiful pattern!
Yes , just for that reason, I will not do this pattern that looks so nice. I have never seen this done. And I dont know why that is necessary to do such a strange stitch,

In your 86 dc foundation is it including the 2 starting chains or no?
The starting 2-chain is not counted as dc.

Normally, pag foundation double crochet, di masyado nag stretch. Pero adjust mo na lang yung stitches para mag fit sa magsusuot ng poncho.
And yes... stretched yung 30 in.

This is gorgeous. I'd love to try this one. When you said neckline as big as you need I'm not sure how to measure it?
You may use a measuring tape, put it around your neck. Some want their ponchos with a bit loose neckline and some do not. So, it"s really up to you.

Hi, Thanks for this great video . I want to ask: why did you turn the bag inside out at some point? Any particular reason why?
Thank you. I find it easier to make the stitches even and smaller when it's inside out. When i was still new at this, I tried doing it right side out, but the corners bulged so much so I frogged. I hope I got your question right. 😊

You explain and show very well. Can I ask for some hints: 1. You keep the threads in front of your work - does it matter? 2. I made two rectangular pouches and both of them taper upwards. I can't master the technique of doing the same tightly all the time. Regards
Thank you. I keep my carrying threads in front just so i could hold them in place and it would need less fixing afterwards. About the tapering upwards, it happened to few of my bags too. There is a tendecy as you go up, you tend to do your stitches more tight than the first few rows. The more you get to master the technique, stitches tend to become small and tight.

If I want the smallest size to be a bag of coins, how many chain do I want to work?
I don't think you can make a bag that small using the same pattern. But if you like, you can look for another pattern with small design or better yet, join our fb group - mochila bags crochet, we have albums of patterns. You can also get loads of ideas in making bags.

I am new to mochila crochet and I cannot find the right yarn. Most of it is overseas and the shipping costs more than the yarn itself. Any tips?
Where are you from? There are other yarns available in some countries. You can use any mercerized cotton yarn 50g/150m like Scheepjes catona from wool warehouse, camilla cotton from Ice Yarns, Alize Bahar and the likes.
