Love the technology along with your company development. As a person needing tooth #4 extraction (due to a ‘failed’ root canal, I am faced with (most likely for me) an implant & crown procedure. Bone grafting is mandated by apparent proximity to the sinus area as well as a a need for increasing existing bone mass. So robotic involvement seems wonderful and leads me to have more clarity regarding this equipment in actual practice. While robotic radiation control has automatic shut-down to protect against unwanted collateral damage, the dental system seems to be a very accurate guidance system for the surgeon, sans shutdown when the drill bit may exceed planned parameters. Or perhaps an alarm alerts the operator? Additionally, is a real-time CT scan referenced by the robotic portion or are the cameras accurately tracking to one tenth of a millimeter? How is programming of the software accomplished, presumably by the surgeon, and is that programming precisely locked into the robotic equipment? Is it possible for the surgeon to make ‘on the fly’ exceptions, in the event of unforeseen conditions? Thanks for your attention and in the meantime I shall try to find an office using this equipment. ❤

Great video. As a patient, I always prefer to have surgical operations performed upon my flesh and bones by someone who can describe to me exactly what it is they are going to do, in detail, before they dig in. With the advent of ready availability of internet connectivity to the general public, and with the increased affordability of video cameras, and with cameras having greater and greater resolution, it is so much easier these days to get certain kinds of information, than it was when I was younger, when I was between 20 years old and 30-something. The addition of stereoscopic video would make things even easier. In the past I was inclined to drive to a medical-dental school library, sit there all day reading monographs and journal articles, and do it again the next day.
