RIP to Adams County, Ohio native Lloyd Cowboy Copas.
I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with him backstage at the Opry in 1997, told him we were from Texas and was very impressed with his handshake, his total interest and pleasure that we were there and our thoughts and opinions of Nashville and country music in general...
He is very genuine. I'm so happy we got to visit with him. He has a great sense of humor too!

Mel was one my favorite.
Johnny is for sure one of the most underated singer/songwriters in Country Music. I was a fan way back when, and I am still a fan today, about 60 years later. No matter the struggles, he always came back strong, thanks for all the music and memories JR!
He still performs occasionally. He was in Nashville for awhile, but returned to Texas.
Great singer. very underrated, sang with huge emotion.

Hawkshaw was my 2nd cousin, Jr is my 3rd. Grew up just a few miles from Hawkshaw's home in Huntington, WV.

The good lord made only one Bill Anderson ❤❤ The songs he wrote had so much feeling, some brought tears to my eyes as it told a story about a loss I had . When I here some of the songs bring back reasons I would do a lot of thing different to all.

I only saw Hawk once in the Country Reunion Generations with his long ponytail. He has a beautiful singing voice! He, as I are much older but my dear heart he still has that voice and 😢 looks just like his daddy! And Ms. Jean's voice beat em all and I'm sure we'd a been BFs! Love her and Hawk to pieces!! And would love to just converse awhile with Hawk cause at 55yo I would love to hear him talk, period and talk about Ms. Jean! God Bless y'all!
