What Johnny did for Country Music was just Incredible..He infused Country Songs with the Spanish Romance Influence..And for the HISPANIC Community,He will always be a Great Ambassador..There is nothing better a Texas Cook out and Rodriquez on the Music Box..
I played bass for him May 18,1974 at my Fathers Bar
Jean was one of the best! Kept music real country. Respected her strong stance on traditional country music. A Grand Lady indeed ❤
She was amazing!
I LOVE MERLE HAGGARD IS ONE OF MY HEROES ❤❤
He was amazing!

Great report. My favorite: heart trouble. Loved these two.🦇

MEL WAS A GREAT GUY.I HAD THE HONOR OF PLAYING BASS FOR HIM .studio.th-cam.com/users/videoJLqYRH-OUM0/edit
Did you play a show with him, or were you part of his band?
Who was he? Simple, he was the man whose ego killed 3 people and himself. He was not qualified to fly in bad weather, just like Jim Reeves, but both were over confident and got others killed.
I have always loved Bill Anderson and I have still enjoyed listening to Bill ANDERSON SING AND BE WITH HIS OTHER FRIENDS IN NASHVILLE. I LOVE HIS MUSIC AND GATHERINGS OF ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO BILL SHOWS ON HIS FAMILY REUNION VIDEOS? ❤❤❤❤
I got to see him in Branson, Mo. He put on a great show. ✝️Dan🇺🇲
He was always an outstanding performer!
First class interview with a grate man
Thank you so much for the kind words!
I haven't heard that name in 60 yrs.
It's sad that his songs don't get airplay like they should.
I saw Ferlin in 1966 with my folks, he was in a country show that featured Hank Williams Jr his mother a really young Waylon, Webb Pierce and others. Was 12 years old and it was my first concert. I've seen Waylon and Willie and Hank Jr many times since. I'll never forget that first one !
That's awesome. Sounds like it would have been a great show. Thanks for sharing and watching!
He awesome to country music
That's for sure!
With pen 🖊️ in hand I try to write this note to you
It’s nice to be A WELL UNKNOWN SINGER SONGWRITER 😉

Ferlin was incredible! I don't know any other country singer who had such diverse talents. He rock you and make you cry and make you laugh in one stroke. He is missed for sure 😢😅

i love Mel Street. At age 78 now I still hear many of his songs playing in the back of my mind.
He had so many wonderful songs. Thanks for watching.
Wonderful presentation, I feel one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard is MY FATE IS IN YOUR HANDS I feel it should have been a country music standard!

Mel was amazing! Thank you so much for watching!
Do songwriters write the words and the music, or just the words?
Everyone has a different way of writing. There's no specific order.
@@ClassicCountryBackstories Who usually writes the music?

One of the most influential country artist in history. In my top 5 . Many copycats Merle Haggard,Keith Whitney,John Anderson,Gene Watson,Johnny Rodriguez,Randy Travis etc. Good singers but not the original. I listen to Lefty 3 to 4 days a week. I have to get my fix.
You have great taste in music! Lefty was definitely one of the best ever!
Always late" and Saginaw Michigan" The hags hero, what can i say. Great singer!
Lefty was also very good to Merle. He was such a big mentor for so many.

A friend of mine who is a very successful producer worked in his band for quite a while. He speaks highly of Luman; it’s obvious he loves the man. I’ve never heard anyone who had a bad word to say about Bob Luman.

Hi, thanks for your work. David Houston would be a great one to do.
I always wondered why Tennessee became the Country Music Capital versus Alabama or Georgia or North Carolina? 🤔
I can't say for sure, but I would guess that the Grand Ole Opry and WSM was a big driving force behind the momentum of Country Music.
Great Video. Keep up the good work with your voiceovers.👍🏾😬
Thank you! 😁
Suicide is not the way! PLEASE SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP! REST AND STAY AWAY FROM SOMETHING OR SOMEONE THAT IS STRESSING. Please don’t die. God loves you🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Absolutely! Mel Street had so much to live for. He was such and incredible talent.
I’ve been keeping up with your great series. I noticed a picture of Stringbean 🪕 in your intro and wondered if you are planning a feature on him.
