The village was triggered in 2023 by CEDS for the first time and the whole village constructed 78 household latrines including Mary Nyandeng who is now in this video. video recorded and edited by the CEDS WASH Engineer/Subnational WASH Cluster Coordinator for Lakes State

A success story after being triggered to construct her latrine at home. The program was implemented by CEDS through UNICEF and funded by the Government of Netherlands. Cum-Maluou Village is one of the 23 villages that were declared as Open Defecation Free (ODF) in Greater Rumbek Counties, Lakes State.
