When a person says, "Miracle!" then that means he is using faith instead of reason. How can a man be swallowed by a big fish? Man is too big. Did god create a special man swallowing fish? Fish stomach has capacity to compress -press hard to crush, break down its food. Stomach also secrete acids and enzymes to digest food, in case of fish, capable to dissolve flesh and bones There is no oxygen in the belly of fish which can sustain a human life for three days. So there are many good reasons to believe that Jonah died. Now, what are your reasons to believe that Jonah was alive? Or why do you want to believe that Jonah didn't die? The video covers all this points. It also has a discussion point that how essential is to believe that Jonah lived or died. We were taught a certain view in Sunday school. One thing is indisputable and that is we do not have any concrete evidence that Jesus was born on December 25. Now regarding origin of the festival, I think you can find in Catholics Encyclopedia about Sun god. It is been long time since I checked/verified this so right now I cannot provide you any link but in due time I will post a link here or on FB.

If we look at Christians persecuted in the world then do you think that they are not praying or do not possess enough faith? If you allow me to be a devil's advocate then I will say that flipping a coin has higher probability of head/tail than God answering someone's prayer.
