I think I'm sold on pit bulls. Ironically, my biggest concern is not their aggression, but their potential non aggression towards bad people that might cross our paths. The verdict is still out as to how they would protect an owner from a burglar or hostile combatant. Does anyone have some knowledge about their track record concerning being protectors? I'm not talking about pit bulls trained for defense. I want to know about the dogs not formally trained to defend/attack. They certainly have the power and bite strength. If they would use it in a bad situation is a different question.

I have to laugh at your cuddler, we have an American Bulldog (part of the Bullie Family), he's mama's baby. He's also a cuddler, the only problem is this 108lb babies idea of cuddling is to be right in the middle if her lap.......chuckle, chuckle!!! He truly thinks he's a lap dog and getting him off of her lap is is really a battle of wills!!
