This is just a short video of a new Walther's EMD SW1 Switcher in which I installed an ESU Loksound Select Direct sound decoder. IMHO, the music could be quieter. It's louder than every other video I watched today and louder than your voice sections. We shouldn't have to turn down the volume during the music to keep the peace with our SO's. (And then turn it back up to hear your voice.) The intro music is loud, too. Otherwise, you have a nice, direct presentation style. I'm subscribing to watch your progress.

    I like your track plan. It has the option of running two trains simultaneously or one train twice around for extended run time. Did you design it yourself or is it from an existing plan somewhere out there? I might have to borrow it Cheers.

    • @primemoverRR
      @primemoverRR 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Alex, I designed it myself and I did want the option of being able to run two trains at once, basically on two separate loops, or throw a couple of turnouts and one train (or more if I'm running DCC) can switch through both loops for longer running time. I can also have a third loco doing some switching on that industrial spur paralleling main street, separate from any trains running on the mainline.

    Troy, you've given me yet another channel to waste time watching. Here is a challenge you might or might not wish to take up. What all(?) set-track systems lack is transition curves. It should be fairly easy to make your own transition section from Peco code 80 or the like flex-track. Even the joining to Kato should be easy enough. Splice it in, replacing the last section of so of the curve leading in and then the straight leading out. Not a lot of trouble, MASSIVE improvement; and the locos will thank you. Finally: here's something to drive us all mad. th-cam.com/video/PD3kNJUsD6k/w-d-xo.html Shall follow with interest. Best Wishes

      Thomas, the Walthers Product numbers for the two Southern Railway painted SW1 switchers were 910-9205 (Cab #2008) and 910-9206 (Cab #2011). They've both been out of stock and discontinued for several years now. Your best bet is to try to find one on eBay.
