I'm a year late to this review but I thought id drop my review. I'm primarily an angler who uses a stove in winter down to -10°c so use the Coleman Xtreme gas and the Fome Bulin stove which pre heats the gas before burning, best cold weather stove ive used for cooking but at 380g its heavy . Whilst prepping for the west highland way and trying to keep my kit bag under 10kg i went for the BSR 3000t based on this review. I can honestly say for boiling water in temps down to 1°c its been all you need . For cooking i can see the lack of a stable base and flame control being an issue like you said , high winds and cold weather would probably slow it down too . For saving weight its been perfect 👌

yes i have only had two wild camps with my bobcat because its new and what i wanted to know is how did it perform in cold weather was you warm anough because i luv my winter camps and i have bought three goose dwn sleeping bags two 4 season and a three season one so i have the gear and i wanted to know if the tents up to it. and how cold was it there

i looked at both the banshee 200 and 300. The 300 only slightly bigger pack size and 200g weight penalty. So bought the bigger tent.. so far so good, stood up to gales and horizontal rain on skye no problem, not bad for a tunnel tent..
