Shanghai's Largest Island-Chongming Island,China's Largest Sand Island,Has Natural Xisha Wetland
Shanghai Chongming Island, located in Chongming District, Shanghai, China.
Chongming Island is the third largest island in China, the largest estuarine alluvial island and the largest sand island in China, with an area of 1,269.1 square kilometres, and is known as "the gateway to the Yangtze River and the Yingzhou in the East China Sea".
Chongming island has flat terrain, fertile land, lush forests and rich produce, and is famous as a land of fish and rice.
Chongming Island has a subtropical monsoon climate, and the nearby waters are one of the main aquatic fishing bases in Shanghai.
Chongming Island, together with Changxing Island and Hengsha Island, constitutes the Chongming District of Shanghai. In order to create a world-class ecological island, the natural ecology of Chongming Island is well protected, while the air is fresh and clean, making it a natural oxygen bar in Shanghai.
Xisha Wetland Park on Chongming Island is one of the china's ten important wetlands and the only natural wetland in Shanghai with natural tidal phenomena and patches of mudflat woodland.
It takes about 2 hours to drive from downtown Shanghai to Chongming Island.
In Chongming Island, you can enjoy the beautiful natural scenery, catch crabs in the Xisha Wetland, watch the sunset in the reeds, and return to the city on the ferries that can carry cars. In short, it's a natural holiday resort!

Hi Maio Maio, thanks for your video, I found out about the Peace Hotel and I went to check it out today. I enjoyed exploring the hotel with all its gorgeous interior and history. Not sure if it's because it's a weekday but I didn't have to pay admission to enter the hotel or pay to enter the museum.
