Played with them from 89-93
Listen to melody phrasing on this calypso. Brilliant!

This song has stayed with us forever.Man I pray all will listen to this and know The Word says Honour thy father and mother.
Road March
Beautiful calypso
The Un-Finish Symphony...
Big tune yes!...first time I heard this, was on Allan Diaz show.
I daresay that I have not heard English SPOKEN before; thank God some of the colonised understood what Oxford and Cambridge is about!
Much LESS the music; which is speech.

Do you have any more Merry Makers audio or video?
Yes! Drop me a line at info@calypsography.com.
What age was Lynn Taitt at this time?
He would've been around 27 years old (born in 1934).
One of if not the baddest calypsonians that ever lived!! you gotta give him credit at least he warned them that he was coming for all of them!
St kitts & Nevis steelband need to perform this and their talent ð

Trying to copy Massy All Stars
My advice: Stick with the original Stevie Wonder rendition! This rendition SUCKS!!!!
Group Solo produced at least one LP that Iâve seen. Would love to get the music from that LP.
In 1982 I honestly think there could have been three bands tied for first, that year every single steel orchestra was great.
What a beautiful sound...
My grandfather - Thomas Vincent Francis aka âPipâ âDacronâ 1945-2007
I would love to learn more about your grandfather's calypso career! Drop me a line at info@calypsography.com.
Back in 1968 I saw Group Solo's video of this on local TV and was amazed by Robert's skill on the organ. They started off as The Group and added "Solo" when the manufacturer of the popular soft drink by that name sponsored the band.

I totally agree with waynemystar6249, I still cannot understand to this day in 2024, how All stars didn't win with this, Dus in de face and Soca warriors
The great old days, I completely forgot how great these old steel orchestras played, the arrangement was fantastic, they remind me of All Stars a bit.
Nostalgia. History Great.

Great era! "The HARPS"
This did not beat heat by All stars it was ok but not the real winner All stars should have three peat with heat but they decided to rob them instead just like they rob fonclaire with pan by storm
Agree ðŊbrother
Excellent calypso. Don't know why I never heard it before.
Ahhh....guitar pans being strummed like their namesake...guitars!ð Awesome.
In the era of fairly primitive electric guitars and amps in Trinidad, Lyn Taitt and Darlington Brown stand out from the crowd as big band guitarists before the combo era.
Nice music jimo
Fastest tempo in panorama EVER...CRAZY.âĪð
A masterpiece. Each chorus with different lyrics and a faultless live performance.
One of the best steel band performances and only one view, what a shame. Was telling some emotional asswhole trinis that the bullsh!t they listening too and calling pan arrangement is utter rubbish! and anyone one of these old panorama arrangements from long ago would run away with any panorama title today. Now hear this classical pieces vs the crap they putting out today, just pure noise and zero melody. now this is a classic, thank you beverly griffith and Robert greneige.
I guess Duane Eddy's "Pepe" was a big hit in T&T at the time. Fitz Vaughan Bryan's also have a version of this tune
Excellent saxophone solo by Frankie...Great arrangement...
The versatile Joey Lewis was not only a talented guitarist but a skilled pianist also. We miss you Joey...
That's Joey Lewis doing the solo in his guitar. Great arrangement with a good solo by Frankie Francis on the sax. Oh for the good old days....
