Ive been hunting for roosie sheds for a few years now and cant seem to find any pockets lol. Blacktail sheds? No problem! Any tips for a fellow coast range shed hunter?

It's all about the angles!! It amazes me how many I find when I go back through an area. Just off the first line by like 10 feet or just a different direction in the same area. Nicely done!!🙌

My 40 plus years of shed hunting my geuss is he used that log as a rubbing post to pop off his antler after shedding the first side.

I found one like the last one you found, only that kicker was closer to the base and longer.

Very cool. Im going camping up above Detroit next weekend and i plan on hiking around to look for sheds. Its crazy how well they blend in with the surroundings. Ive almost stepped on a couple sheds before I saw them

Very nice. What area did you find these. I used to do a lot of shed hunting with my dog that passed away from cancer. Plus my favorite shed hunting grounds at north fork Santiam got burned up 2 years ago and they have had it closed to the public since

I love watching you find sheds since I really haven't been able to the last several years. I have a 4 year old daughter and a 5 year old son and there are a crazy handful. So the few weekends I am allowed out by the woman are mainly dedicated to hunting and fishing. But now that there getting older hopefully I can start hiking the bush for sheds again soon

Where abouts are you looking? I live in Salem and I've done alot of shed hunting up above north fork Santiam and have had alot of luck with huge elk and deer sheds. Alot of the area got burned up by the fire 2 years ago. We even had a 16 ft TP made of canvas up there at our hunting spot that got burned up too

You should try to go to snow peak this year

I would bet that cartridge that didn't go off was a commercial load because commercial ammo has a bad rate of not firing because machinery left out the powder or bad primers. I load all my ammo from far back as 1976.
