what happened to tinkerbell and the ring of belief?
มุมมอง 428Kปีที่แล้ว
After the success of the Disney Princess brand, Disney created a Disney Fairies brand based off the character Tinkerbell. This included books, dolls, and an animated movie series. However, the development of the first Tinkerbell movie was a disaster behind the scenes, leading to a version of the movie getting scrapped late into its development. In this video, I tried to trace the timeline of th...

recapping disney's weird descendants movies
This might sound weird but Charlie and Lola made me think two things: 1) I miss my childhood playing pretend with my lil brother 2) I hope my future kids have a relationship like Charlie and Lola do
this was one of my favorite shows as a kid
Childhood memory unlocked
you should do crysanthemum next <3
i don’t think I’ve ever referred to strawberry milk as anything other than pink milk because of this show, I loved it SO much when I was a kid
lauren child was my favourite author when i was very little and i loved the charlie and lola!
Loved this show even though I wasn't a little child
my british accent impression is ENTIRELY based on charlie and lola i love the show sm tysm sarahh
I didn't really watch this show much as a kid but I distinctly remember playing that maze game a lot. I didn't actually play it correctly though, I'd just walk around and find the hedgehogs lol.
32:29 I did this as a kid, from Toronto were i let it go it made its way to New York. The dude who got it was a hunter who lived all by himself in the forest in cabin and seemed really happy to see our balloon.
We actually used to do this, releasing balloons with our Name and Adresse and some of my friends received a letter from people who found their balloons, describing how they found them. It was really exciting and I was a little bit jealous of them, because it never happened to me. Now looking back, I would be more concerned to release my Adress and some stranger might misuse the information given…but still, it was a fun and beautiful experience.
You...didn't read the books? Sorry, that's where you lost me. The whole point was kind of to learn about girls in different periods in history. Did your family not have access to a library?
I always thought Charlie was a girl
Oh dear parrot cay down *2000s-10s
The novels are absolutely worth it, they literally made my childhood, even though its children's book, the themes about change, and the subsequent loneliness that we can often feel following it and the odd behavior of the people around us that we sometimes cannot understand, this is what a children's novel at its peak looks like, somehow good writing and an excellent story and yet a child's novel!
Oh I own the pippi longstocking book illustrated by her! It's so pretty and I loved it when I was young.
I used to think Charlie was like 15-16 as a kid until 3 years ago that was the biggest shock of my life
I didnt watch the show nor did i read the books but i vividly remember having so much fun playing the games on the disney website. I love rediscovering childhood cartoons like this because somehow no one knew what i was talking about growing up but im glad i get to learn more about it through this video.
I didn't watch the first Tinkerbell movie, but I already watch the pirate fairy since I was a six year's old, but man... I'm now 16, very nostalgia anyways.
My brother and I were OBSESSED with the Charlie and Lola animated show when we were children.
I completely forgot about this show, this video in my fyp just reopened so many memories on a random thursday night
The outtakes are SO charming.
DID ANYONE ELSE THINK CHARLIE AND MARV WERE A COUPLE😭😭😭
I SAW IT LIVE!!!! I REMEMBER THAT OH MY
I remember eating veggies thanks to the tomato episode
i remember the the episode where Lola avoids stepping on the lines of the floor because Charlie told her a crocodile would jump out of the cracks
I loved Charlie and Lola, I was definitely on the older end of their fans. I remember watching it with my sister just being entranced by the art style. I'm an illustrator now so I'm sure that Charlie and Lola had something to do with it.
SO PINK MILK WASNT STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE IT WAS JUST MILK WITH FOOD COLOURING 😢
This show inroduced me to lemon candy lol
Omg i remember watching this and i saw an episode where charlie got mad at lola and it kinda scared me? Idk why, i think i was always kinda hypersensitive towards arguments in media and stuff, i remember becoming scared of other arguments in kids shows, too 😅
As a kid, I was thoroughly convinced that Greenland was a real place. And I was really, REALLY excited to see the broccoli sheep, and catch green drops :’{ I’m sure there was another reason for my Mom driving me outside (maybe to go to the store, but I can’t remember). But I was convinced I was leading my Mom to Greenland, and was like “Alright! Now make a left! …aaaaand RIGHT! THERE IT IS! Wait no- No it’s over there!” We drove around slowly in a parking lot while we did that and she was actually listening. In retrospect, I can’t tell if she was humoring me or just finding a parking spot, but this was one of my happiest memories ever :’< ALSO, LOTTA AND MARV WERENT SIBLINGS??
This was so refreshing to watch, thank you for reminding me of a piece of my childhood that I ADORED to bits and piece’s ❤
THIS IS SO COMFORTING TO WATCH pls make more of this 🥺🥺🥺🥺
i loove charlie and lola as a child so exited for this vid
The episode I remember the most is the Christmas one
The CEO change is the reason I could never find another Disney Princess Enchanted Tales video? Awful. I had my mom on a wild goose chase for something that didn't exist.
I had unexpected math coursework last night that was dreadful, and I was so pleasantly surprised to see this in my feed! I love how Lauren Child is truly dedicated to the authenticity, quality and consistency of her work and I'm really glad I learned about her behind the scenes involvement as Charlie and Lola was my favorite show growing up. Everything about this video was perfect, and so so wholesome. You should definitely keep this genre up, maybe with max and ruby or bear in the big blue house. I never ever leave comments but I literally set a reminder to come back and let you know how much I enjoyed this video. ❤
I rewatched some of these episodes recently and inexplicably they really made me cry, they’re just so sweet and innocent. And the bond between Charlie and Lola is adorable
This was such a wholesome and well nurtured video. I enjoyed this so very much, thank you
i had a giant popup/dollhouse book for the original Angelina ballerina tv show . it was awesome! 51:55 THAT'S IT OMG IT WAS AMAZING :DDDDDD
YOOOO I FORGOT ABOUT THE GAMES HOLY SHIT
my favourite show as a child
i love this show sm omg
I never read the books but I did watch the animation and the CGI animation series. It was the early 2000s when I was a kid (I was born 2005) so I watched whatever was airing. And yes, a little boy watching tv shows for girls is a little weird 😅 Edit: I absolutely love the composition of the original soundtrack and the theme song of the CGI series.
It would be so cool to see you do a retrospective on the railway series /thomas and friends
Thank you for this. It was so cool to watch since my sister and I loved watching the show growing up. I had forgotten about it but from time to time i would remember it again so thank you for the reminder. It was nice learning about how this became to be. I also kinda teared up hearing the theme song ❤
I always loved Charlie and Lola because my older brother and I are called cameron and Lottie so we always saw ourself in them as kids
I didn't know Charlie and Lola was such a big thing and had books and that many episodes. I had three DVDs with maybe 10-15 Episodes total and that was it, I don't remember this ever being on TV in germany but now I'm tempted to go watch more. I used to always watch this when I was sick and staying home from school or kindergarden and just lying on the couch and having nothing else to do. Some of the Episodes I remember the most were one where they wanted to have a picnic but it was raining and all the food they prepared just looked so good I also wanted to have some. Then the one where Lola wanted to be the sun in a school play but only got to be a leaf and one episode where they played snakes and ladders and lola played the flute to make the snakes go to the top. I loved this show so much thank you for reminding me of it. Also the intro still slaps so much I love it.
Hey, I liked the ending on the episode about chores. I think the message of having fun is still important and not weird at all, considering the show is a kid's show. And sure, it's important that you get your chores done on time, but as a kid, you still have the privilege of chores being chores and not exactly obligations like you do as an adult. So for a kid, it's important to see that chores are not that bad. For Lola, she's a small kid that doesn't really understand the notion of time yet. For a kid like this, she can do her chores and also have fun because... well, why not? She doesn't understand time yet. Charlie is older and understands that certains things are done at certain times. It's more of an age problem. But for Lola, if she was eventually forced to do her chores straight with no fun in-between, maybe that would have led her to have a negative experience with chores, leading her to not want to do it in the future. And kids at her age can relate, they want to have fun and don't quite understand consequences yet, unlike older kids. So, I guess they didn't want to send a message to kids that chores are only "a means to an end", but rather that chores can be fun and rewarding on their own. Kids with ADHD or that struggle focusing on one thing at a time will benefit from a more positive message about responsibility, because they might already struggle with getting things done, and feeling guilty if they don't want to do stuff or "good off" while doing it. It shows them that, while it's important to get things done on time, focusing on the present and how you can enjoy what you're doing is also good for you!
This awoke so many memories in me! Charlie and Lola was funnily enough the reason I became friends with my childhood best friend. As a kid, I looked a bit like Lola (I had white blond hair, thats about it really lol) and I had the genius idea that I had to have a brunette best friend, because thats what Lola had! Next day walking into school I just picked the first brunette I could think of and asked her to be friends. (she looks absolutely nothing like Lotta from the show, but in my head I just had to have a brunette best friend. This girl was literally a pale Finish girl with pin straight hair). I have such a vivid memory of this and I can clearly remember being so inspired by specifically this show. Also I mustve just binged these episodes cause I can literally remember every single scene shown here. I have other strong memories of episodes not even included! (justice for the one where they build towns on play mats and encroaches on each others territories ✊)
