Now I know why you showed that Sharon Is Karen album so many times. Louie Golden is the singer and he was in the chat last night. That is so freaking cool.

What type of music on vinyl do you look for? I went yesterday after three straight big hauls since last month. I found four records: two jazz ones I had never heard of, ZZ Top, which I paid $12 for, and Donna Summer.

Great! Always one of my favorite bands. They signed my records 35 years ago. I didn't think about it beforehand but Peter seemed a little put out and hesitant when I handed him the "Elvis You Died" bootleg Australian 45. I kind of always felt bad about that since it apparently was not authorized for release. Chris Stamey wasn't with them at the time but i later got to see him and Peter on the "Mavericks" tour.

I love watching vc videos where the presentor shows off vinyl that I have had for decades 😅.

I love The Grip Weeds, some of the covers they did on this (and on their covers album DIG) are really ambitious songs to cover and wow, they nailed it. The Grip Weeds have around 10 LPs and a DVD out, and perhaps something new is coming soon.

Hey Emma -- Please check out the album 'Avoider' by ahem (on Bandcamp). I've been a fan of this Twin Cities trio for years now and I think you'd really like their latest, alt-power pop release. Also recommended this to Hanna (Omaha Introvert), so I'm hoping you both dig it.

Very cool Wilco LP. I really should get a vinyl copy (I have the CD). I have been searching in vain for anything from the Plimsouls!

We need more singing Emma (aka Eight Vinyl Low). “The famous underground Memphis scene in the 70’s” sounds kind of mysterious. Nice finds!

I picked up all those power pop records in L.A., back in the 80s for a buck at the record store that's featured in Spinal Tap. It was a golden time. My brush with power pop greatness. I once dug a huge hole to plant a tree with Peter Case. Our kids went to the same private school and that's what we got assigned for the annual Parent's Work Day. I remember him being a really nice guy and handy with a shovel.

Love the Pezband debut. I picked that up on a whim early last year & it certainly helped me on my power pop journey I'm going through. I haven't listened to their next two yet. Prim/Historix comp is sounding great so far on streaming. I've been putting a playlist together on here as I discover more. You ever hear Bobby Sutliff's "Only Ghosts Remain"? Maybe more jangle pop oriented, but it's been on repeat lately!

Fantastic pick ups! Great enthusiasm showing off those records. Not sure if you know this, but Matthew Sweet suffered a debilitating stroke last month in Canada while on tour. He's in a rehabilitation hospital in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska and will move back into his house in a few weeks. He has a long road ahead for recovery. He didn't have insurance, so someone started a gofundme page and it has raised nearly $500K to date. Thought you would like to know. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Emma & Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 ! I remember telling you Repercussion was a perfect album & glad you agree. Really amazing it never had a 🇺🇸 before. Plimsouls were a favorite of mine on the club scene in LA when I was a kid. Zero Hour was their first big radio hit & a classic track !

I watched the big star documentary "nothing can hurt me" and it was very good funny how they got their name from a grocery store lol! That db's vinyl is probably the coolest vinyl color I've ever seen wow!

It's awesome that you've been able to get out to so many shows. Keep doing that for as long as you can! Looked like a fantastic and fun show! Cool video. Another nice concert review. Neat that a band from the past is out touring. Speaking of a band from the past, 20/20 is releasing a new album in January called Back To California. It's been 25 years since they released an album. I gave you their self-titled album from '79, so if you liked that maybe you will like their new record. Have a good week!

I know OF the db's but never spent any time listening to them. Have none of their records/cd's but I DO have a CD titled Standing for deciBels A Tribute to the dB's. Various artists of course with a very nice inner sleeve and info. Do you have that?
