Just because you asked that question I will do my best to make a new one soon. Is there something you would like to seen in particular?
Why no new videos
Excellent presentation and execution!!! I know nothing about Cribbage but, enjoyed the video non the less. :)
Thank you😊
7 years later and still amazing. Beautiful.
My honest opinion is that this is a gorgeous box! I love the process
@@davidhamrich thank you very much
Thanks for this a great idea
Very nice
If Festool makes a sewing machine it will be $2,000.
Dam Nice Sir thanks 4 sharing
That’s brilliant!
Absolutely beautiful!
Beautiful box and great video. Thank You
I finally decided to create a crib board for my niece and her daughter. I will design it around the pegs. So far the pegs I like the best are the ones shown in the thumbnail for your video. I can't seem to find them anywhere online although I have seen similar. Where did you get yours from?
Thanks for watching. Try Rockler woodworking. That’s where I got them from years ago.
I'm not sure which I'm more annoyed with: myself for not thinking of Rockler or that not once did Rockler's page with them come up while searching for "cribbage board pegs". Thanks for the tip.
HI Mandell, Are you using a spindle on your ShopBot? I'm not familiar with this CNC. I duplicated your process and purchased a 1 1/4 vbit. My 1/4 hp Makita struggled even using 10 passes with this bit. Am I doing something wrong or am I just under powered? Please help me out.
Yes, I am using a spindle. Maybe try slowing your feed rate a little.
I sure would like to know how you created your continuous lines. This is probably the best designed and creative boxes I have seen yet. The lines, the use of aluminum dowels and VCarved miter joints are genius. Please post more videos, we can learn alot with your innovative techniques.
I love your process here. Well done video and love the no nonsense and lack of background music.
Absolutely love it.
Again great tutorial of how you designed it in Vectric. Disregard my request on the build video.
Wow, great tutorial of making this beautiful box! Any advice on how to design it in Vectric?
thanks! I hope you are well
😊 excellent job, some innovations, excellent commentary Subscribed and like. Keep up the good work
Thank you😊
good vid Mandell!....Love your channel m8 - great tips - lots of "thinking" out loud etc ....cheers for all your tips m8!
I did something similar a couple years ago, except more sides. I tried 6, and 12 sided boxes. I tried to leave a thin skin on the outside of the miter cuts so it could be wrapped up with no visible seams. But to get that to work I should have taken the time to set up a steam chamber or something else to get the wood fibers soft enough to attempt to bend so sharply. I tired hot water that wasn't hot enough and it tore. I believe it can be done with proper setup.
This was great thank you
I appreciate you. Thank you
Very well done beautiful box
I appreciate you. Thank you
I have to say your video showing the construction process is great, The box looks terrific. I just found your site and I joined and will be watching more. Thanks
Thank you
You are blessed with not only design and woodworking skills but a very refreshing manner of explaining your work. I have a sense I know the source.
Hi , Mandell. Are you making a y more projects ?
Lovely design. Is there any special reason why the box was lined, as opposed to a rebait (wabbit) around the opening to accommodate the 1/4 in packing?
You inspire Me. I've been wanting to get into box making and You just push started Me . THANK YOU
Very nice! Many good tips, sir,
Very nice box and great tips on how to hold a piece under the CNC. I just started with a CNC, actually two of them and things like this video actual TEACH, not brag. I think there was about 4 things that I will try tomorrow when I'm back in my workshop to fix an issue I was having in my learning process. I look forward to see other videos by you. Also you are the first person I subscribed to for CNC videos.
Wonderful box, thank you for sharing your awesome project with us, stay safe happy, warm and healthy, from Henrico County Virginia
Well done sir.
Hello, I just discovered your Channel and find your content very helpful. I'm about to make some boxes as Christmas gifts for my family and need all the help/advice I can get. I do have a few years of CNC and Vectric Desktop experience but have not as yet made any boxes that are worthy enough for gift giving. I need to get some simple box design concepts before I start making what I would call "fancy family/gift boxes"... Again thank you for making these videos.. Peter
Very cool, thanks for sharing. Did you miter the inside pieces, or just butt them up,
Hi Andrew I used butt joints
Really, really nice!
I'm late to see this post but I really appreciated your concept, design and commentary. Well done. excellent job.👍👌
Next up: Mandel Brot CNC Box
Very nice piece. I make many of box and that is a keeper. Fine job.
Very nice!
I really like how you use cnc as much as you can. Also like your hold down system. I would apply masking tape before cutting slots for splines, just to cut some time.
Really slick idea for making a box with the v bit. A single piece of wood guaranteed to have grain flow.
Well Done you are a Master wood worker
I know I’m late to the party but this is kind of what I was looking for but not quite! Excellent information though. I had seen a video a fellow did similar but was able to cut the 45’s in multiple passes using a smaller bit. He created the model using Carveico and I use Vectric same as you. So far I haven’t been able to accomplish this task. I know it can be done just haven’t figured it out.
Really nice restoration. Would love to see more videos of your work.
Do you know the Freud bit # the only I'm able to find is Amana for $80
Very nice well done
Please keep making more videos. I really like your style of presentation.
Thank you
Great design.
