I found this mesmerizing. Just about every single element was excellent. The acting, the carefully constructed seedy atmosphere, the very slow build up within the story and within the main character towards a momentous event, which then doesn't quite happen. The sadness/heartache...tragedy even, of this. And then the low-key ending. A slice of life. Practically Chekhovian. The music, too, was outstanding....also slowly building up in intensity...perfect for the film. I was hoping I could find it and buy it, but it doesn't seem to be commercially available....which is a pity. A really good, meaningful, short film.
