short and effective. You the best bro
worked perfectly
Thank you
this save my day. Thank you
Thanks much for this!! Very short, but very accurate. Nowadays, I salute content creators who make tutorials in 2 minutes maximum especially because people are always in a hurry. With that, videos will earn more views because people will get at once what they need without watching too long. More power to you!
Thank you. I try to keep them as short as possible. If you're searching for an Excel solution on TH-cam, you're probably in a hurry. And thank you for commenting. The algorithm favors longer videos, so short videos like this need a lot of engagement to rise to the top.
@@learnexcelvideo More blessings to you!
Thank you so much....
I queried to do the opposite. Mine sheet is in percent and i need a whole number
It depends on exactly what you're trying to do, but you should just be able to do this in reverse: multiply by 100 then format as a number than a percent.
Thank you so much❤❤
So simple to understand. It was difficult to understand by reading instructions on various websites. Thank you so much.
Making my 9 to 5 easier I'm subbed now. Time to become decent at excel lol
THANK YOU
tysm
I am going to add this to the end of a word document. Is it possible to start the pdf number other than 1, let's say 10?
Got it myself. If anybody is wondering, there is a first-page number option in the page setup menu.
Thank you... a short and simple video
Thank you sir
perfect,,, too easy
you are the best
I've always wanted to know how to do this. Thanks. But I can't figure out how to get to the second sheet to get the data. It looks like you did some keyboard shortcut?? What did you do just after you put the curser in the "Source" box?? Thanks.
Nope! No shortcut. Once the cursor is in there, you should just be able to navigate there with your mouse like you normally would. I try to keep these videos as short as possible, so sometimes I speed up bits without narration and a lot of mouse/key strokes to shave a couple seconds off. So it may have looked like some shortcut wizardry, but was probably just the editing. Thank you for the feedback. I'll be more judicious in using those editing tricks in the future.
Best video for this on TH-cam
Love that you made it brief and didn't add alot of extra commentary! Thanks

How do you copy in the code?
Were you able to open the VBA editor?
Thanks it worked
Hi!, If you don´t have idea to convert correctly a csv file to an Excel don´t waste people time seeing your videos, thanks🙏
I'm sorry you weren't one of the 136 people this video helped enough to like it and I wasted 78 of your seconds. What didn't it accomplish that you were hoping it would so that I can do better in the future?
Hi, thanks for reply I think your title is not correct, you change the format but its not a conversion. If you have a csv with data delimited with comas. If you want to convert to a excel you need to go to data tab and select "text to columns" Yes i waste my time in your video, and thats true (I was angry because many times i have to waste so much time to search things i dont know in Excel or another programs) because a lot of videos dont help at all. Sorry you paid for the rest, i apologize. Finally i found a video that solve my problem (an indian youtuber). I hope your video help more people. Greetings
@@carlosp-o5lYou shouldn't have to use "text to columns" if it's a properly formatted csv file. Excel should see the ".csv" file extension and know the commas are delimiters between columns. What's the extension of the file? It's common to receive "csv" files without the "csv" extension
Yes it was an csv file, it ends in ".csv", but if you enter in this csv there is not rows and columns and you have to use the method i write in the previous comment. After that, i save as xlsx like you do in your video. Always when i receive .csv files doesnt have format of a tipical Excel, and i need to transform in a normal table of excel. That is the conversion 😅. The csv comes from a imported reports of a database in csv file.
@user-st7eh2gq9e There are rows and columns, your Excel just isn't reading them correctly. A csv file is just a text file. The commas are what separate the columns. If you open it in a text editor like notepad, you should see that each row is separated by a return and each column is separated with a column. The file I open in the video is a text file and is organized that way. It is only organized into columns because Excel understands how to read it. If you open the file in Excel and everything is one column, requiring you to do "text to columns" something it going wrong. It could be an encoding issue. It could be something buried deep in the settings of Excel or a million other things. Check out the video in the description to understand more about what a CSV file is. But what you're experiencing is not how Excel should handle a properly formatted CSV file.
Thank you so much, Chester!! You're a life saver!! <3
By chance is there a way to delete items in the cell without removing all content?
genius
😂 How didn't I think of that
This worked perfectly for me, thank you!
THANK YOU! Tables are such a stupid thing! Excel is already a big table and all they do is make formulas impossible to read and make it impossible to delete rows!
There are reasons you might want to create a table. It's a quick way apply nice formatting for presentation, the totals row can be super handy for summarizing your data and it can make sorting and filtering easier. But when you don't one, you're right. They're super annoying.
doesn't work. I wonder what's going on because this used to work last year.
Can you describe the issue a little bit more?
Thank you
Thank you. Super helpful
How did you fill in the rest of the columns? That part is unclear and I can't get it to work?
In my case i can't unclick it its blocked what to do ?
What if I have many tabs, each one with a table. Is it possible to convert all the tables to csv at once?
Yes. But it would probably require writing some VBA code.
Thank you man you saved me
Why in the hell do they have to make this so difficult
I am sorry for the 71k people who watched this video. There is no use to make a video for a csv file with fixed columns. This is the video with the answer. th-cam.com/video/H4L59C5k2uE/w-d-xo.html
Very interesting technique. Hope they create a function for this
thank you so much
Thanks a million
cool work around bro.
When learning something new, I use flash cards when possible. I was trying to come up with a method using my computer. E.G. to learn a new language, one column has the English words and the second column has the foreign words. By changing the font colour or the cell colour of the foreign words column, you can make them invisible unless you select them, and then the word becomes visible in the fx window or you can change the cell colour or font colour to check. My concern was that with constant repetition, you can sometimes predict the next 'invisible' word. Your video provides the method needed to randomize the lists. Thank you so much.
good
Thank you!!
Helpful, Thanks
