cool Jewel did 2 versions of same song but they are slightly different.
I member that… only the pizza place wasn’t a pizza place yet. It was a little pub.
She sings this so beautifully that I forgot just how talented she is. BRAVO!
My friend name is Deborah too... And she literally just couldn't help but smile the whole song... Thumps up
聽時高三,再聽已「三高」!…… (*現在,等死。)
Delicate and charming.
On a bus ride with high school kids from a number of rural schools we were headed to a day long event at a regional community College (to expand our scope of opportunities). A couple of girls started singing this and encouraged me and others to join in. Small moment, but one of the first times I felt like one of "the cool kids ". Every time I hear this song, even 50+ years later, I smile.
There needs to be a major revival of this lady. What a talent!! This song is genius and her voice was angelic. "I Will Love You" is another great recording. Also, "The Green Leaves of Summer." Her Wiki is painfully sparse. Underrated AF.
Mi amor !! Desde mi adolescencia hoy tengo 57 y te sigo amando !! Rock and Roll
I heard this song 60 years ago in Taiwan.
I was lucky enough to grow up listening to the sound of her voice as I fell asleep at night. And have continued the tradition. Family babies have fallen peacefully to sleep to it as well. Such a unique, sweet voice!
Winds are beautiful as well backup 's voices
Chip taylor wrote a good pop song
I didn't know this singer at all
I'm watching "The Outsider" from a story of Stephen King. One of the characters mentions this song, whose title is familiar. I look it up here on TH-cam. I remember some of the lyrics as a song my Dad would sing to me when I was a very young child. We lived on my Mom's family homestead in Kansas for some time, until moving up to Minnesota to be near to my Dad's family. When I was in college, I traveled through Tennessee and visited some caves {I'm a cave nut!} on the way to Florida. Then 10 years or so ago I visited New York City. I've never been anywhere else to visit. Funny coincidences!
I thought that the cascades were the original singer of this beautiful songs. Anyway i love them both now. ❤❤❤
❤ googled the lyrics to find this gem from my childhood :)
Shelby Flynt skeeter Davis, shelley fabares brenda lee leslie gore era of young girl singers classics
Great song by a guy from my hometown of Hazleton, Pennsylvania.
Some people, presumably Americans, seem to think Merrilee Rush or Juice Newton made the best version of this song. They've obviously never heard Brit PP Arnold sing it, by far the most soulful version.
Pp arnold, dusty springfield and merille rush did best versions to me as well nina simone
Pp arnold is talented but she is american...however she worked a lot in england in her prime
ABSOLUTE PROOF OF GOD SHOWING OFF ❣️❣️❣️
Good sounds....❤ No wonder Beckka is such a great singer.
Nice to see Mingo again.
One of my favorite songs❤
Written by Blanche Carter a beautiful black woman. She wrote this for The Clovers.
Wow,,,I heard this song when I was a child,,we had a stereo phono,,,with turn table,,my mother always played this song ,,from Fabolous echoes,,,that was 1960's,,,
When i was young, I thought the singer was a female
Very good English cover of the classic Japanese song.
I always wondered if there were to this tune.I only ever heard the instrumental by The Village Stompers. My oldest brother had a friend who was a big fan of that group,he once brought a Village Stompers album on a visit and we listened to it.
R.I.P. Ed Ames, Thank You For The Music 🎶
I've heard the Village Stompers version of this song forever and a day -- but never this. And to think that it had lyrics too. That's a new one on me.
❤👍
FABULOSA CONNIE FRANCIS😗
Wish there is a karaoke 🎤 version
I was an eleven year old fake tough kid at the time, so I could never admit to anyone (especially my older sisters!) how much I loved this song. It never made the rotation on the oldies stations, so I forgot about it for decades. What a flood of emotion it brings back! Now that I'm old and "secure in my masculinity", I praise it from the rooftops. Shelby is still an angel!
Jeff? I too was that fake tough kid that wouldn't admit that I liked this song. Yet, thru time, I can care less! I Love this Song! So! There you have it.❤
Pretty and poetic song❤
Very talented singer
Always loved this song and her voice😊
Need this for the next season of Fallout
Many years ago I was learning how to dance, pushing the teacher over and over again to play this song. Somehow he humored me and I was delighted. Now I found this and feel like that young girl, dreaming and loving music so much. Singing, no shoes and still with raven hair. Thank you so much for posting, you made me smile now days are hard.

I never forget this melody for a Cantonese pop song named “學生哥” (Students) sang by Mr Sam Hui. The lyrics is to advise students to study hard.
A wonderful singer and band that make us remember the lyric forever !
This song puts a lump in my throat. I was about nine years old when I heard it the first time. Brings back so many memories.
The rescuers
According to Austin Roberts this is Rocky Part 2. The song was pitched to both him and Dickey but Austin wanted to move on to other things.
I'll hold my head up high, Looking to the sky, So they won't see, All the tears that are in my eyes. No one will know, What I'm going through, My first lonely nights without you. I know the night will bring, The sadness I feel inside, No one will no, For the smile on my lips won't tell them. Memories of you, And though we're through, My first lonely nights without you. As I walk along the lonely winds seemed to say From this darkness on all your nights will be this way As I walked along the lonely winds seemed to say From this darkness on all your nights will be this way So I'll go alone, Pretending you not gone, But I can't hide, All the moments of love we knew. Memories of you, As I go through, My first lonely nights without you. Without you.
Fe Real
I heard this song when i was a youngster. I always loved it. I few years ago, i read/heard an article on her and her live on TH-cam. It was in an interview form. What a smart lady. So plain and happy. Bless her.
