I saw 30 to 40 elk in a feild in broad day light in February 2022. Have lived in the mountains for 17 years. Had them go through my yard at night and until the other day I dont think I had ever seen even 1 in the day time. Beautiful animals!!!
I think it's facinating that you guys are too stupid and checked out to even realize you are on his trail and all it wants to do is pass. Indicated by all the other tracks in the snow. The males always lags behind the kids and female, his urgency is to catch up with the family and you guys are so typically self involved you have no concept of the natural world you are buldosing your machines over, it's always all about you and your wonderful experience with nature you have not one clue about.
I love to be outdoors hiking mountain biking all kinds of things been doing it over 20 years I've never encountered an animal in the wild that meant harm -. If anything they go by what you feel they smell you or your fear they can tell if you're even intending harm to them. Or a hunter . I've had encounters with wolves grizzley's elk bobcats mountain lions and even an occasional shark in the Pacific.
One day soon one of these idiots is going to get severely hurt or killed getting this close to them. These fools laugh about it like it is a pet ! These idiots are so stupid!! Sadly these assclowns will learn the hard way, don’t do this
When you first started the film, I had one come that close to me when my husband and I where hunting in Wa. State. Was cow elk with baby on far side and she was standing broadside trying to smell what I was. We where in an area of lumber harvesting in central Wa. And I was starting a small fire to stay warm. The elk where used to slash burns and had come within 30 feet of me. How exciting. LOL.
I love seeing Elk but people in NorCal need to stop abandoning their vehicles in the road to take pictures. It's infuriating when fire/medical need to rush through and they never get cited.
Come to Ponca,AR where with a permit and beating a bucket you can help the park service spread the wasting deceases they brought on by introducing elk that had their evolutionary chance. Thanks Uncle Sam!
It's incredible you got this on film. Every awesome encounter I've had, I couldn't capture it. I'm not too sure that he was looking for a food handout, he seemed awfully curious and there was no indication that you had food nor were offering any food... This is not a typical animal scrounging for humans scrap foods... He either familiar with humans or something is odd, especially for it to be by himself like that, they are herd animals.... I think the helmet, jacket, and snowmobile possibly appear like something different... Anywhere they hunt elk, no elk would EVER get this close nor stay so calm and comfortable in approach. I love this video, they are so incredible. 😍
