Is #501 a GATX leaser? I’ve seen that livery on the New York & Atlantic RR which is a short line where I live

Why not criminalise passing a crossing at danger, install CCTV, identify the driver via the number plate, and confiscate the car which was used in the commission of an offence?! That might concentrate minds a little and reduce the risk of a fatal derailment for the train crew (don't care about the car driver - give them a posthumous Darwin Award!).

Nobody ever said that people were intelligent . They learn by experience . Putting a locomotive in the back seat of their Toyota Camry gives them a really good idea why you stop for railroad crossings . !

That driver is one who would sue the RR because "he wasn't given enough time to get aross the tracks before the train hit him."

One day the idiot in the Buick will get creamed and will want to sue the RR saying the lights weren’t flashing. Red light cameras with significant fines could solve some of these issues.

Crossing looks exactly the same as when I caught two ELS trains here in April of 2008. One with 400-402, and on another day with 501-402. The 501 was a lot cleaner then, and they went 25 MPH through here. I thought they might have put LED lights in the signal without the bell by now but I guess not.

A former neighbor of mine used to step in front of vehicles that were trying to blow through a stop sign. Before he sold he said," I learned not to step in front of cars. They just swerve around you." Truth is stranger than fiction. Thanks for commentary info regarding cargo.

Great video sadly people can’t read signs these days and don’t know what flashing lights are they would rather risk there life than stop. I’ve seen the same thing on videos of iron mountain.

Luck has been on your side catching some of these odd trains. 14 cars to load @ LP which is a little less than what normally leaves the plant in a train but this one looks strange as there's virtually no other cars especially the usual group of boxcars. No doubt they're going to have to switch out the propane yard when they get to Crivitz. Bundle up!
