Marron Fishing - Pemberton, South West Australia
Pemberton is a quaint location deep in South Western Australia. In this video its all about bush cuisine. Our focus is catching Marron (Yabbies) and introducing these delightful fresh water crayfish to the flavours of Thailand. Enjoy!

next time for the pizza wraps, grab a shovel or two of coals to cook em on.. much more stable heat
That first spot where its washed out, is now undriveable unless youve got big lift and tyres

at 35:19 how far south are you on the Murray fireline? in terms of hours drive from the lane poole manned entry gate (at start of video)? Just need a rough reference point how far it is and if its worth the drive for my family. Cheers mate

This video should probably be removed, the track has now been intentionally blocked off now beyond the first spot, by a felled tree. Presumably by parks, presumably because more and more people were going into the area.

I camped in spot 4 back in the mid 90s with my cousin and uncle as a 13 or 14 yr old, great memories and i still love heading out that way

Bet some other earthy herbs were being used aswell :-)
Can't wait to give some of these spots a try. I've been going to dwellingup for years but have only really ever known about baden powell.

Good stuff, great campsite too. Been a long time since we went looking for marron. If I remember correctly the license was $20 and we caught two legal sized marron. Probably explains why we haven't done it again. I remember as a kid we used to go out to Samson Dam and get a heap but things have changed a bit since then.
It’s $50 now. Cheaper to just buy them from a farm.
I agree, I definitely wouldn't be Marron fishing, if I didn't enjoy camping so much 😬
