Sorry to hear about the premature end of your lovely glider, but so glad you walked away. It looked like an epic flight. When i crashed mine I lost that critical bit of video which just compounded the frustration! Hope to see you up soon, take care!

Hello John, Just so you know, at 6'00, you were on the leeside, that's why it was hard to find a decent thermal for a while (beside being shady). I can't blame you I did the same mistake 18 years ago, while paragliding for the first time here. My two cents,

Thanks John, that was exciting to watch. The first part of the return glide, below ridge height, was nail-biting but I expect you had the glide angle with a following wind for a safe bomb out. It looked rough at cloudbase but that didn't seem to faze you. Nice landing and approach :o)

Superb edit John, very nice flight. Looks like you were sensible by turning back where you did too, even if the lift suddenly switched off you still would have glided back to my nudist camp rectangle I landed in the following day ;0) Hope to be there with you next year too!
