Exit 65 and Smiley and the Lovedawg played at the Lilly Pad Hopyard Brewery on Saturday (Exit) and Sunday (Smiley and the L-Dawg) last weekend,@@TennesseeJed. I recorded some of Exit's show, but wasn't happy enough with the sound quality I captured to share it. I may bump into the same problem of not getting one done this coming weekend as Exit is heading back to Sequoyah Studios this Saturday and Sunday. We'll see! Thanks for checking on me, my friend! @@chrisdurman4695 I would imagine playing an acoustic instrument to an electric song would need to use some adaptations to sound familiar.

Yep, that's how I approach it,@@TennesseeJed. An electric guitar can play a single note on a single string and it will sound huge and sustain a long time. Acoustics are just a different bear and I feel I have to take that into account if I'm covering something that was made famous on electric.

I had it on the LP, but sure remember when it was on the radio all the time!

I see here (woodyguthriecenter.org/archives/collections/woody-guthrie-lyrics-collection/) that it’s included in the collection of Woody’s lyrics held at the Woody Guthrie Center. Adding Woody Guthrie to my search of the title, I’m finding quite a few places that agree that it’s a Woody song. I can’t get to my copy of Washington County right off or I’d go check there to see who it’s credited to on Arlo’s album. No matter who wrote it, it’s a great song!
