I'm 6'6 so would feel at home with these tall people hahaha. But also dating a shorter serbain girl hence being here to learn about Serbia.
Pretty good .. The Christmas is January 7th and new year January 14th is because Serbs use Julian calendar.. but most of Serbs really celebrate both Christmases and 2 New Yeas .. they also use 2 alphabets ..Cyrillic ( ћирилица) and Latin ( Латиница) ..☝️😊
im 6feet 7 inches
You're being a clown bro, I am in CS looking to enter law school. Your advice of how simple it is to just "go to a coding bootcamp and get 6 figures" is disattached from reality.
I love your video because you saw real deal with family support in Serbia. We stick together, help each other, respect our parents
7:21 religion reasons i guess, thats why we celebrate it on the 7th of january
Two things you should know. Draft not cancer or heart disease is the number one killer of Serbs. Secondly MeToo doesn’t exist in Serbia or it means that your husband or BF beats your ass when you f… up when discussing your relationship. You are expected to offer alcohol to everyone who comes into your home. Morning noon or night!
I love Serbia from Finland 🇫🇮😘❤️🇷🇸
Some law grads would suggest that if you took student loans for law school, buy a house and refinance it to pay off the student loans. That was even dubious in the 90s where if you had 30,000 in student loans and got a 43,000/year public defender job, but now its blindingly obvious that it is not possible. The stupid public defender job at 90,000 can't even make a dent in 250,000 in student loans so that these simple tricks don't work anymore. In other words, the 250,000 loan payment is around 3,000 per month there's your mortgage already with no house (?), no lender would be stupid enough to lend you anything with that debt much less to buy any house with that type of job, but wants to be a public defender anyway?
Kosovo is Serbia and always will be. It is currently under occupation but it doesn't change the fact that it is part of Serbia. As for Christmas being on January 7, it is December 25 as per Julian calendar which was followed by all Christians until Pope Gregory XIII changed the calendar for Catholic church in 1582 and called it Gregorian calendar. Orthodox church continued to follow Julian calendar to this day.
I’m conflicted because at 24 years old I’m seeing that most of life for the average person is mundane and hard anyway; I don’t want to switch career paths in a futile attempt to avoid that. People say the same stuff about coding that you say about law except for how you receive your education. But the rest is the same. “Yeah you get good money, but it’s not worth it unless you really love it bro.” I work with someone at the library right now who switched from coding to be a librarian and he pretty much said what you’re saying about his decision. I understand where you’re coming from though and I appreciate the insight from someone who has experience with this stuff. I really relate to your experiences coming out of undergrad.
For what it's worth, if you are planning to go to law school, I think you should still go. That was my intention when I was in college back in the nineties, but I opted for grad school instead -- big mistake. I've been seeing people posting videos on TH-cam and in comments in IT saying jobs are getting scarce. I also know someone who was making a really nice six-figure salary who got laid off several months ago and has yet to find a new position. I worked in a major court system for exactly 30 years, having started as a summer intern when I was in undergrad. Even the lowest paid lawyers on staff and in the county out-earned me. I hired a first-year law student about 10 years ago who now is making six figures and one of the top positions at my old job. I am of the opinion that if you are not working for the government as a lawyer, you have to take an entrepreneurial approach. Think about how real estate agents approach their careers. Lawyers have the ability to sometimes make astronomical amounts of money per hour or per case, but it may take a little hustle.
@@Tes7000 I’m applying for the fall of 2025. Reading and writing have always been my strengths, certainly more than computers lol. I’m taking the September LSAT so hopefully I’m still early enough if I submit my applications late September. I’m pretty confident I’m going to get a good score now that they’ve finally removed logic games, I’m scoring in the high 160s-170s on the most recent practice tests so I’m hoping to fall in that range on test day. With a score like that and my undergrad gpa I should have a good shot at a decent law school.
@@Chudi2000 Excellent! I'm glad you are moving forward with this positive step for your career. I'm going to encourage you to take a sharp and clear-eyed look at the costs of whatever institution you choose. Prestige cost more money and could get you a better job straight out of school, but your student loans could be exponentially larger.
Have you thought about trying to get a position in one of the court systems in your city or county? The family courts, probate, deed room, etc., could be good for building a specialty even before you pass the bar. This would also be good if your state requires an internship or a practicum of some kind. It was weird, but at my old job, we rarely had law school students applying for those clerk jobs. As I relayed in an earlier post, when I actually got one, I hired him on the spot, and it worked out really well for us and him.
bravo
The Serbian Orthodox Church use old Julian calendar. 25th December in Julian, falls on 7th January in Gregorian calendar.
Because off separation betwin catolic and ortodocs church they ar stil on older Julien caledary.
Evan Ramino, please learn the history of Serbia and then you will probably understand why Kosovo and Metohija are part of Serbia. A huge and very important part of Serbia.
Damn, this was super negative. Oh well.
Xmas falls on Jan 7 due to Orthodox Church
cool! Dude
Boy shut up😂 I'm going to school for paralegal to see if I can manage being a lawyer. Don't kill people's dream
That's right, my brother, we take care of our old people because they took care of us all our lives and never turned their backs on us.
5:55 If workers worked 40 years or hit 65 years old they get retirement payment what is more the enough to live
Wtf are you talking about??
Dude, coding is not a long term career.
true. tech is though. Health care is safer probably. Something in the x ray department pays well and is less stressful.
You can just put some clips of current serbian president meeting foreign dignitaries. I think they vote for him in Serbia just to make the political class in the rest of the world feel small and insignificant.
Sertbian are mostly Orthodox. So as we are Christians as it was from the begining we didn't changed our religious calender it is still the Julius Ceasar's. So that is why we celebrate the 6th of january Christmas. in fact is the 24th of December but not like in the Gregorian calender that was instored in1600 something i think. has to be proved.
Serbia is orthodoxe
This video was very helpful! Thanks!
Nice video, thanks for sharing. One very important aspect of Serbian culture is our Slava, which nobody seems to have mentioned in the comments. Serbs are the only people to celebrate Slava. I suggest you research the topic!
thank you for your story, law school isn't this magnificent glorious thing its made out to be. thank you
You couldn't just find a job using your bachelors degree?
Kosovo will always be serbian, and when times come we will take it back!!!!! Cccc!
Ugh? I wanna be a lawyer to put criminal in jail? What lol
Never ever meet any tall Serbs.. did you missed the country or what
Serbians are gays
Serbs are the same as wolf's it's all about family.
We don't think we know Kosovo is Serbian

A J.D. is better for a Big Bank job than an MBA!
We "don't think" that Kosovo is part of Serbia, but we know... it was never recognized in the UN, and the fact that the Americans and other fools recognized it means nothing!!! Those geography lessons are wrong!!!
Bad idea all around. Don’t waste your time or money.
Evaluating Law education and the legal profession itself based on your chance of banging a professor and your divorced client?? Thank God you decided to quit the Law. I've never heard anything more stupid and childish
Worst Countries for Racial Equality: Qatar Serbia <<<<<< Saudi Arabia Sri Lanka United Arab Emirates Slovakia Myanmar Israel Ukraine United States
Thank you bro. Saved my 5 years. Have been in this dilemma for a year now.
Average salary for a coder in my area is around 50,000 not anywhere near a lawyer’s pay 😳
It sounds like he was just more interested in computers
Christmas not being so commercialized comes from communist interference. One of rare few things that they did and which was good. Commies tried to reduce importance of religious holidays and made secular ones instead. So they push hard for New Years Eve to take place of Christmas. So Christmas tree, Santa and gift giving were all moved to 31st of December. That actually purified Christmas as it kept most important elements, celebration of birth of Christ and getting family together and removed materialism. Growing up in post communist Serbia I was confused by shows and movies from US and UK showing people exchanging gifts on Christmas and Santa coming on Christmas etc.
In Serbia average height for men under 30 is 6 feet. And there are some indications that it will just rise and that in decade it will be around 6'1'' -6'2''
Character Committee is also a problem for a few people, even without felonies/mm/substance abuse issues.
Thanks for such entertaining video. Incredibly funny people think you were serious about relations with profs 🤣😂
