Easy Baked Beans - Perfect Side Dish for the BBQ!
Baked beans are the quintessential side dish for any BBQ! They go perfectly with brisket, pulled pork, and ribs.
This easy baked beans recipe uses Bush’s Baked Beans and brings added flavors of brown sugar, onion, garlic, and more bacon!
INGREDIENTS
1 yellow onion, diced
3 bacon strips, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp chili powder
¼ tsp dried mustard
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
½ Cup Brown sugar
½ Cup Ketchup
2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Tbsp maple syrup
2 -28 oz cans Baked Beans

Everyone else doesn’t do this. It’s way more likely that directly on coals is the least common way . Also he’s smoking it , not searing it . Coals would burn the outside before the inside is done and it would taste like shit bc it’s coals.

They serve it at a nice restaurant called The Lady And Sons in Savannah, GA. It’s delicious. I love the vanilla and chocolate varieties. They now series a sweet potato version instead of chocolate. I don’t know if it’s any good.

Made one yesterday and it finished about 6 hours earlier than expected. Let it rest from 9am-5pm in a pre heated cooler wrapped in towels. Still steaming hot and it was amazing. Longest ive ever let one rest.

I buy them everyday for coffee...its my go to snack on the go. I put them in my backpack, my golf bag, and my glove box.
