I just started reading the blessing of humility. And it is indeed a blessing to have such wisdom.

If you like Ammon Hillman, The Message is pretty to close Dr. Hillman's translations except for the technical medical knowledge.

Reverend Doug Norwood introduced the Message to us in 1990's, at All Saints Church, and i found it interesting and enlightening.😂❤Now that i'm older i like Matthew Henry and the KJV.

I like most of the translation when it comes to legibility and understanding in more current sentence structure, but i think that the translation covers up too much too. If you read closely, you'll notice wherever there were slaves, he translated it to "servents" instead, which drastically underplays what these people were made to go through on a daily basis. Servents have a choice in the matter, and are paid employees, while slaves don't have a choice and are most of the time not paud at all, if anything, their payment is often getting to live another day. To change that word in the bible is like choosing ti be ignorant, even though deep down you know the truth. It makes me wonder what else has been downplayed in this translation.

Ita extremely unbiblical.. adding and taking away from the original Hebrew and Greek. Irs HIS UNDERSTANDING. Never lean on man for the truth. It even quotes a satanic tagline… DO AS THOU WILL. People can understand the Word of God if they ask him for understanding

Total perversion of the truth.

The Message Bible is completely inaccurate. It defiles the Word of God. If you have a copy of this, I strongly ask you to throw it away. Burn it...use it for kindling. God says through John in Revelation 22:18-20. Not to add to or take away from this book. Or the plauges described in this book will fall upon you.(Paraphrase). Glory to God 🕊️

With the drama and controversy surrounding superstar pastors I wish there was more just like Eugene Peterson.

My Prophet, Prophet Uebert Angel is a man whom i know that He read kjv alot. And so nowdays has been reading scriptures from The Message bible so i read it as well

I have being using the message bible for 2 years now. Today I asked the question, who compiled this beautiful translation. It brought me here. Thank You so much Pastor Eugene Peterson. We thank God for such a wonderful blessing you are to the World. I bless the Lord for your family. Indeed I see a fulfilment of the scripture; You didn't choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won't spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, he gives you. Glory Hallelujah Amen 🙏. To the Peterson Family, more Grace to You from the LORD Jesus Christ. Amen 🙏 ..... While watching this & listening to him speak, all I can think about is if they ever do a movie on his life - Gary Busey should play him at this stage of his life, so towards the last half. Gary’s voice sounds EXACTLY like Mr Peterson’s that if I wasn’t paying attention, I’d swear it was Gary speaking. Just a cool thought I guess

i am so grateful to have discovered this fellow and it was via an odd media, a band i do not like much called U2. funny that! everthing is tea. we, like tea, we steep over time and every cup takes it's own time to become perfectly tuned up and ready to drink

When we read the Word of God it’s like looking in the mirror, it confronts us with our sin and the Holy Spirit convicts us to correct us and continue to seek Gods presence. To say how much you appreciate a so called the message writer or like having Eugene and Jan right here is an abomination before God. Even. If an Angel came from heaven with another Gospel he shall be called A curse

I just finished reading his biography a burning in my bones, and unfortunately didn’t get to know about him earlier. I cried reading the final pages. Came here to listen to how his raspy voice was like. Glad to be able to hear both Eugene and Jan here. I like his grin.

the Message Bible weaves lies with the truth of God. It is misleading many Christians who are new to the faith and have not studied the Word of God with the Holy Spirit as a teacher. They will stumble and fall into believing this so-called "Bible" is the true Word and it is not! Don't be deceived!

I was blessed to have known pastor Peterson and Jan when I was in high school and even house sat for them once. I grew up with their kids. What a beautiful family. I’ve thought of them often through the years. They’re home now.
