Judging by the colouring, Marley certainly looks like a female lorikeet... my male lorikeets have more orange and only a little yellow on the top corners, while the females tend to have notable yellow areas around the orange crest... tends to be the pattern across my five dozen little terrors, at least... ;-)

Hysterical. A friend of mine's male lorikeet used to have regular sexy time with a yellow rubber duck. He'd also get a bit frisky with one of my shoes. He actually had a girlfriend who would even lay eggs, and then he would go all psycho protecting the nesting box - but none of the eggs ever hatched and it turns out they weren't fertilised and his owners couldn't work out why he was always so goddam horny and it was only when I saw him and his girlfriend umm ... doing it ... that I noticed that he wasn't quite doing it right: their vents are meant to connect or something and I no longer remember exactly how but I managed to get him to improve his technique and the next time she laid an egg the egg hatched! Only problem was they started breeding uncontrollably ... now they have a flock of nine living in their house.
