Chancellor’s Associates Colloquium: Tackling the Health AI Paradox, featuring Dr. Karandeep Singh
A presentation by Dr. Karandeep Singh, Chief Health AI Officer, UC San Diego Health, Joan and Irwin Jacobs Endowed Chair in Digital Health Innovation, UC San Diego School of Medicine.
Despite the fact that AI tools are widely implemented in healthcare, very few have proven effective; and while the research enterprise has invested billions in carefully developing better AI tools, even fewer end up implemented in real-world settings. This is the health AI paradox: researched models are not implemented, and implemented models are not researched. In this talk, Dr. Karandeep Singh will take us on a journey through the early challenges faced by health systems implementing AI tools, on the evolving policies and regulations emerging as a result, areas where predictive and generative AI are impacting health outcomes, and the opportunities ahead.

Love the ASL, she looks like she is just doing a Tiktok dance. Very cute.
Instead of Triton love, can I get some real love?

Dr Cheryl Saenz of UCSD Moores Cancer center testified FOR Johnson and Johnson. Her bad reviews are true!!! I have the receipts and cancer to prove it. She make bigest $ ( in 2018) from Avastin chemo.. She shouldn't be allowed to teach med students.

That's too bad...the link doesn't work.
Link is working. Thank you for your support. crowdsurf.ucsd.edu/pages/seasonofgiving
Great message.
Congrats #Tritons 🔱
I would rather die and send the resulting gofundme donations to a very confused San Diego State University's alumni committee than give a cent to UCSD.
Where is your mask? Covid-19 scam just like UCSD.
UCSD texted me a link to this video. It’s been 30 years and multiple requests asking the alumni association to stop contacting me. Anyone have any advice on how to get them to stop?
Class Action Lawsuit
Have you tried texting back “STOP”?
@@SiriaK LOL. I'm not sure that'll work. It ain't an automated text. XD.
Hi! To stop receiving texts you can reply STOP. To be removed from future communications, you can email your contact info to giving@ucsd.edu and request to be removed.
And people are still in denial about the influence of china in our country and education system. This was posted by the UCSD Annual Giving Dept! SMH.
Thanks for making this video! Happy Lunar New Year, hope the year of OX will bring everyone good energy and prosperous. Go Tritons!
These appear to be very worthy funds. I have to ask two questions: How much do you expect/need to raise? What percentage of the UCSD operating budget is that? I'm thinking there are more than enough superfluous bureaucrats to cover the fund drive.
Thank you Chancellor Khosla for making UCSD better than ever. We alums see your efforts and appreciate all you do in making UCSD a powerhouse of positive impact locally and globally. Merry Christmas~
Great that you are involved in this! FYI - someone is sending texts pretending to be you, asking them to click on a link for a secure link to “your video”. A family member of mine received one. They did not click the link. I found you by searching UCSD Muir gift officers. I would tell the program coordinator. I miss Muir!
Hello! The texts you received were planned outreach coordinated by UC San Diego's Annual Giving team and Student Gift Officer program. If you no longer wish to receive the texts messages, you can reply "opt out." Thank you for your support!
Hi! It is great to see you all doing this. I do have a question... how are officers allowed to contact us?
So glad you liked the video and we’re happy to answer questions. Molly and other students created videos to share with alumni. The UC San Diego Advancement Office tries to keep current contact information for all alumni for university communications. Messages were shared via this. Molly and other students sending videos do not have alumni contact information.
Go Triton!
Wonderful video UC San Diego - Tiffany
Thanks for your work on behalf of UCSD Nina
I miss my Alma Mater so much! Thank you so much for reaching out Molly!
Beautifully done! So proud of my Alma Mater!
Hi... I graduated in 1985, in premed biomedical engineering... Third college..I wanted to hear what the best accomplishments of both students past and now have done personally and in business and in their free fun time etc.. ? then let's talk about benefits of money.. to donate to UCSD etc.. What are your goals in the future and do you have a second, and third plan.. etc.. things like that; however that would be a 60 or 30 minutes video instead of 2:34 minute video..Thank you Chris and Albard for sharing your feelings .. Peace... and love to you.

Wow, such a nice message. We have a daughter as well at UCSD. Since she is out of state, this means her tuition is sky high for us as maybe it is for you, and she does not receive a single cent in scholarships or loans. We have to save every penny for her and we deprive ourselves just so that she can go to her dream school as we promised we would if her grades were good. We are totally stretched thin as a result and wish we could help. We wish you great success with your final year at UCSD and we hope that you can find the resources you need to finish.
Thank you, Marisa! We wish you and your family all the best, and are so happy to have your family be a part of UC San Diego.
very nice!
Not until the University becomes more diverse in accepting people of color that look like me for their residency programs, I cannot in good faith donate one dime.
