Rolling practice.

My first time in a kayak in 6 weeks, I felt it was important to practice a few core skills...even though I hate getting wet! Little did I know that it would turn into a passable Boss Nass impersonation. Music by Gerry O'Connor.

Slow roll - side by side comparison.
มุมมอง 117ปีที่แล้ว
My roll has been fairly solid for a few years now, but in the last few months it failed me for reasons I couldn't understand. As is often the case in life, I had to go back a few steps before I could move forward. If you are ever struggling with a skill like this, it can be incredibly helpful to get a friend to film you, so you can analyse frame by frame what you are doing right, and what you a...

"Oh shit".... made me laugh
Title delivered
I would have been waiting for those sets to pass before breaking out of there but them I am a bit of a wimp
@@charles-mr4oz that was the plan, but you know, sometimes the timing is a bit off 😅
Whoa! 🙂(Now subscribing.)
Great little video, remnants of a storm. Need a real rogue to get through that gambit ;) 🎉😂
I see what you did there! 😂
@ phew!
The trip looked lovely, Tash, especially the roll!
Were these fair weather or tornadic?
@@joshuabishop5527 I'm not familiar with the term 'tornadic', but it was a fairly nice day until then.
how do you find the hydra?
@CheekyMonkey888 it is a club boat I was using at the time. I am very close to the maximum size and weight for that boat, so it wasn't ideal, but they really aren't bad. The main failings are the qualtity of the fit out. The skegs can be problematic, and I personally found the seat uncomfortable. Apart from that, they are very stable and quite tough wearing. That's why they are so popular as club boats. They can accommodate a wide range of paddlers. The hull shape is quite similar to a P&H Virgo, but with less rocker.
@@mairnealachamu thanks, I took the thigh supports out of mine , using minicell instead, and moved the seat forward to the max, odd since at 6' I usually move seats back, I also lifted the back band as it had a tendency to drop and pinch
Tá sé iontach!
Can you let me know the link to the animated tracker please? Looks like a fine trip.

Looks like you have some fantastic paddling by you... Great scenery
Love it❤
I have to be honest Debbie, that boat looks a lot better on Tomas than it ever did on you!
Looks like you have some wonderful rock features there. Beautiful surroundings... Now another place on my to-do list!
Agreed. I love Dursey but would be ace if you could do a version without crazy music and with all natural sounds. Brought back some great memories so thanks 🙏
Lovely footage 👌
Looks an amazing place to play and for rock hopping too... Where is it?
Barlogue Creek and Ballyalla in West Cork.
Looked like a great day on the water. Going up and down that channel looked like alot of fun
