That was really good Graham. I left Darwen 30 years ago, some looks the same, whilst other parts look so different. A lot of old factories seem to be housing estates now.

Rev Alison will be leading the Darwen Town Remembrance Service with Eucharist, tomorrow morning at 9am at St Peter’s Church in the centre of Darwen, where the Mayor and Civic party, British Legion and Scouts will be worshiping with us, followed by the laying of wreaths at Bold Venture Park Cenotaph and War Memorial at 10:50am. Anyone who wishes to attend will be most welcome, of any faith or none, to remember the fallen. 🙏

Let us hope this signifies that Peace will prevail in the world and we won’t have to remember even more young men and women, giving up their lives in wars.
