I agree with the prediction of switching the game to Daggerheart, it is the obvious choice to make considering it is Mercer's ruleset (which would give them a natural way to promote it) and the problems with WotC / Hasbro. BUT what I hope for the most is that they change the "vibes" of the game into something more dark- / low fantasy whether they set the new campaign in Exandria or some new setting. I feel like three campaigns of "party of no-ones evolving into god slayers" was too much (for me personally) and a change of vibes would be appreciated

God i really hope they are not doing a Daggerheart campaign. The system is fine, sure, but i don't think it can replace d&d.

My 1st hot take, if they try to make a normal campaign using their Daggerheart system they're gonna lose a sizable chunk of their audience. Part of the fun D&D players have watching their content is understanding the game itself. When someone wants to use a Disintegrate spell, we D&D players know that's an all or nothing spell. When someone rolls a 1 on a death save, we all gasp knowing that's bad news. When someone tries to counter spell and they know they have to hit a difficult DC, we all know what DC's are and we all hold our breath. I fully support them making a game but there is an over saturation of TTRPGs out right now as well as a million other normal shows out there on a million different streaming sites. There's our own home games, video games, books and comics. There's people that are not interested in watching a show about a game they don't know how to play nor want to learn how to play. Critical Role tries to reinvent the wheel, mark my words, they will not find the same success. My 2nd hot take, the vocal online supporters/critters are a toxic fan base that look at comments like this and will post crap like "No body cares." or "They won't miss you." or general insults whenever you have anything to say that isn't complete worship of Critical Role.

The only thing with Daggerheart that I'm not really sure about with them doing a full Campaign with it, is that all the races/classes are different from what already exists in the world of Exandria. Unless they did a huge time jump forward, it'd be hard to change that up without it feeling awkward. I'm not sure if they want to abandon D&D because that's what they built their fanbase on, but Matt has already made some comments about the new rules insinuating he's not really into it, so who knows. I'm definitely excited to see what happens moving forward.

I think Daggerheart is a given especially with all the nonsense going around WOTC and Hasbro lately. My prediction is they will include Robbie as a main cast member for C4 as he's been loved by the community and vibes so well with the cast. After Orion left they've been bouncing back and forth between 7 and 8 players with guests. It wouldn't surprise me to make a more permanent eighth with Robbie and still have guests periodically.

Hey guys, awesome build. One thing I noticed is that you only have 3 maneuvers listed when you should have 8 in total with this build. I’ve not used Foundry before, so maybe it’s character creator got that wrong. Just so you know, every Martial class, at level 1, starts off with the 3 attack maneuvers (extend, power, sweep) then you choose 4 more. (As noted in the class table) Then you get an additional 1 for each martial Talent you take. So in this build, 1 more for Monk Training

I personally really don't hope they switch to Daggerheart for campaign 4. I've watched campaign 2 and 3, i've played allot of DnD myself and I haven't felt the same kind of connection with Daggerheart yet to get me excited. I'm def going to try it out anyway! I've spend years watching the cast and I can't wait for more

I feel they will do daggerheart next but not as campaign 4. He said daggerheart are shorter campaigns. They will do this till like October. I bet they release a new book around then. Do a limited series like Unlimited. Then they will start new campaign based on book

Yo, that is exactly why I got into world building. I didn't know where to find the information for Faerun. Then I said i will build my own, then found Critical Role and decided to run all my games in Wildemount. Love the discussions you two have during these live streams. I will try to catch the next one.

I think they will be in a new world, to many issue swith legal stuff since their is a DND sourcebook with exandria... and a new world fresh to their system i think woudl be best

I fell out of watching campaign 3 as life got busy and it didn’t hook me early on like campaign 1 and 2 did. I am looking forward to campaign 4. Hoping for a fresh start and getting back into watching the show.

Love the idea of giving a point of exhaustion or some sort of debuff to the player characters for eating too much. Never thought to do something like that.

I'm thinking that Daggerheart will have a new setting, one that can show off the system's breadth of options. Exandria is fun, but at the end of the day it is too tied into D&D's expectations and options. Better to start whole cloth, thus the reason for a grand wrap up on Exandria in March.

Honestly I would like to see something entirely new and different especially moving into Daggerheart as their official system. I loved Exandria but in my opinion they've already done so much with it and bringing in something new would do well to engage a lot of folks who may have fallen out of touch with the show. *Cough* Me. *Cough"

I hope so, I’d love a darker tone! But I’m a huge dark souls fan, and that’s the vibe I get from Age of Umbra, so that would be great lol

I agree, I also believe it will be the same thing. I am hoping for May but I feel like it would actually be in June. I hope we hear soon.
