I don’t think Blinky Rodriguez gets enough credit as much as Benny Urquidez. When you think about it, Blinky has fought the whose of the who in Kickboxing in his weight class and has had great success, this match obviously being one of them as we all know how well established Jean-Yves Theriault would eventually be. As a Kickboxer myself it’s always good to look back at these gems because the OG’s were literally fighting killers after killers.

Here, Juan Torres is still green in this fight, but he put up a very competitive fight against a seasoned veteran, Jorge Angat. A very close fight from which Torres learned a great deal and he went on to become a great fighter in his own right. Much like the young Maurice Smith grew tremendously after he went the distance with Don Wilson.
