Cot Tent Rain Test Failed
No surprise on the Cot Tent failing in the rain. It's still a cool tent, but it has limits.

Ridgeline and Tarp Tent In The Wind

It was a wind day to do a tarp setup but it all worked out. A tarp could have saved our camp fire a few weeks ago

Caveman Steak Campfire Steak Open Fire Cooking
I have it and I have used it sometimes. Truth is, it doesn't work very well. It chockes thr fire of a bit much and forces the flames out, wasting most of thr heat. Even with an alcohol burner, it doesnt worl too well. These originated in the military, and i guess in a survival situation, its better than nothing.
I will agree with you. Not my favorite wood burner for sure.
I bought the two person version of this. Used a screwdriver to poke 4 holes in the cot; two towards the middle for each side. The rain does catch but the cot is “water proof” and so runs down and through the holes to the ground so rain isn’t actually an issue
May I ask why tbe air matress went flat
I can only guess that it wasn't sealed very well when it was made.
Thankyou kind sir . I enjoy your videos 💪💪
Would not buy
nice one
Thanks. It is a great tent.
🌊🐬🦈🐋🌊 Great video! Ocean City is aways a nice stay
How do u slow down the flame it to high thsnks 👍🤗🇬🇧
you could use a tarp as a roof.
Yes , true.
I just bought one because of your video. Thank you.
I was going to suggest the same thing, always have a tarp
Great video.Look for Papa Hiker.. Hes the best at setups
You need to burn the ends to keep it from unraveling
Thanks for the tips.
great prussic knots setup
Thank you. It's fast if needed.
Your hands blocked the most important step.
I thought I got the message across on it but maybe I will remake it with more detail. Thank you.
@@JUSTOUTDOORLIFE sorry, not trying to be rude. I just couldn't see that final step at the angle you were holding your hands.
No need to be sorry. I will try to make a better one.
Your camera angle sucks
Great video! Even in the wind !
The ready to go Ridgeline makes it easier.
You know sausages take longer to cook than your veggies right? Have some common sense
Hey thanks for not knowing shit. They are presmoked hotdogs. Always glad to see assholes take time to chime in on shit they know nothing about.
That's 1 % meat & the rest is eyeballs & assholes & salt. Enjoy!!
Haha , right. It was pretty good.
Don’t eat it then. Mind your own business
stupid
I'd like to see more outside cooking....
Awesome. Thank you. I will start doing that.
Thank you very much very good presentation. Keep enjoying your tent, you have made a good purchase. Light, good size for the backpack. Happy New Year!
Thank you for watching and Happy New Year.
Happy New Year. Nice tent . Hope you stay dry and warm 🙏🙏🙏❤️🥾🥾🎉🎊🥳👏💪👍✌️☕
Happy New Year. This is my first teepee tent. I will let you know how it goes on.
Good job sir 👍 I will make a same project. Regard from Indonesia 🇮🇩
Thanks Sir
I know that they say not to use sealant on the pulleys because of the well nuts but did you use sealant on the guides and the lever?
Eye opener for me...I thought I was missing a piece where is holds the axle on the right side until I watched this. Mine's been sitting gathering dust for years since a neighbor gave it to me. Thanks for sharing!
👍 Interesting .. thanks for sharing. That pot stand is a clone of the one in the 'Trangia 29 Mini' Set which also comes with an Aluminium Pot. I've had the 29 Mini Set for some years and it works very well for me. I would tend to shy away from using the grooves in the burner to adjust it's height relative to the pot. The stove has been designed to operate at a specific distance to pot for optimum efficiency. This also possibly could lead to the burner dislodging when not wanted. Burn time in cold weather .. including that getting the stove up to a 'bloom'. Insulating the base of the Stand from the cold whatever on which it is standing helps. I use a piece of Silicon Mat, cut to size .. that used to protect kitchen work top surfaces from hot pots. Using a match to light the burner 👍 .. my go-to. Beats trying to get the flame of a Bic Lighter down to the fuel or even worse, flailing away with a Ferro Rod .. not the best idea around a container filled with a highly combustible liquid. Just put the lit match into the burner and leave it there. In especially colder weather, it acts as a 'wick', helping to keep the fuel on the burn until 'blooming' has occurred. Yes the Trangia is more expensive than Chinese knock-offs .. but then, one must factor in where they're manufactured and such and then decide. Am looking forward to seeing your other set-ups please and until then, take care ..
Thank you for all the helpful tips. I hope to do more video. This channel doesn't get many views but Iam hoping it will soon. Thanks again.
