How to be enrolled in residency program help me seniors

I would like to know the actual statistics/percentage of total pharmacists that are actually "clinical" pharmacists (not working specifically in a pharmacy setting be it hospital or retail). Then I would like to know the percentage of those clinical pharmacists who are university employees who have a clinical site at a hospital - salary paid by a university vs employed by the hospital itself. Then I would like to know the total percentage of those clinical pharmacists who work at major teaching hopsitals vs those at private or non-teaching hospitals as well as who actually employs the clinical pharmacist (hospital vs university/university pharmacy program).

having spoken to many clinical pharmacists and working at the two largest in-patient pharmacies in the state (NH), the general consensus seems to be that a residency is a waste of time unless you live in a big city. there are pharmacists working at academic hospitals that are unable to use their specializations because there are no opportunities available. obviously, the best bet is to simply contact clinical pharmacists in the area you plan to practice in and get some candid opinions.
