    I have a 446 without an engine and recently bought a Kubota 3 cylinder. Does it work? Yes! Is it efficient? Not really. You now have the exact same wood splitter you had only now its being powered by a much more expensive motor(insert skid steer here). You are still standing in the elements, lifting each piece onto the splitter and still functioning the lever to accomplish the same results. So many ways this could have been streamlined and that’s why I am watching this video for ideas. I think if you had no plans to change the operation of the splitter that a 10HP Honda engine would of been a cheap investment.🤷‍♂️

    • @223mt
      @223mt 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I originally wanted to make it so you operate from in the machine but after watching enough videos they are a waste of time. The only advantage would be you could split a log you couldn’t lift. I split would in the back yard if I had to maneuver the skid steer over every log not only would there be no grass left but I would have to level the dirt when I was done too.
