DAILY UPLOADS!!!
My name is A. Clark, son-in-law of Robert J. Clark, Jr., Cinekyd's founder and executive director. His daughter(my wife), Rebecca Clark Mays has entrusted me with the ever-growing back catalogue of Cinekyd's 30+ year history(1969-2006).
Cinekyd was a one-of-a-kind non-profit educational organization located in Willow Grove, PA. which won numerous prestigious awards during its decades-long run, even garnering personal recognition from four sitting US Presidents.
Many Cinekyd graduates have since found fame and fortune within the entertainment industry, including Adam Goldberg(of 'The Goldbergs'), Brian Baker(the popular 'Sprint' cellular service pitchman), actress Wendy Worthington, and many more.
The plan is to release our entire library of shows, movies, interviews, documentaries, musical productions, 'behind the scenes' footage via this channel - for nostalgic alumni and all-new audiences alike.

Episode Thirteen.
Dipping a bit further into the past, we revisit Cinekyd's suspenseful television drama, 'The Miller's Key.' The flagship series was so popular that it ran for two consecutive seasons!
Note: This upload(along with all other uploads) has been digitized from an analog tape source, using almost laughably subpar capture methods. Soon, all of these uploads will be replaced with stunning-looking video files courtesy of the incomparably superior 'VHS-Decode' workflow. Not familiar? Look it up!
This video was particular low quality, so I vainly attempted to upscale it via Topaz Video AI. The results are...um, mixed. At best. I will admit this output almost appears as though a bizarre cartoon filter has been applied(at times). Utilizing substantially improved recaptured source materials and having far more advanced AI tech at my disposal(i.e., Adobe's upcoming VideoGigaGAN), will *really* enable me to give these classic productions the remastering they deserve!!!
But for right now, please enjoy the modest content that we have to offer!
God bless.

I am a teacher and also a movie buff. I love that she told the person that teaching is not nonsense, and it was cool to hear her tell the story of the accident in person. Ms. Hamilton and I weren't alive at the same time, but if time travel existed, I would find a way to meet her.
What a treat to find this video. It's amazing to hear the story of her Wizard of OZ accident from her own lips. She was very nonchalant about it, but it sounded like the studio couldn't have given a damn about their talent in those days. You can see Ms. Hamilton's affinity for children when the young girl came on stage at the end. She could see the girl was either extremely shy, starstruck, or a bit nervous about meeting 'the witch'. Ms. Hamilton took her hand, and without missing a beat, continued the conversation with the interviewer. A very tender moment.
What a lovely lady margaret was & she should of got an Oscar for her acting ability as the wicked witch of the west & she was the greatest witch in history of motion picture history. Margaret so humble thinking anybody could of been the witch, but no margaret had the extra talent to push it forward & boy what a mega performance it was & she was so loving to young Judy garland. Rest easy margaret u were loved such a great lady & people who met her were extremely lucky.
I absolutely love 💗💗💗 Margaret; She is so wonderful.
Great actress!
Proud to say my hometown is Cleveland, Ohio, the same as Margaret’s. Loved hearing about the Cleveland Playhouse. I have always admired Miss Hamilton as a grown up. As a child her rendition of the Wicked Witch scared me, but it was because of her terrific acting. Rest in Peace, beautiful lady,

I was never "terrorized!" I love that movie and I always have. "Terrorized" indeed!
@@MaskedMan66 She portrayed a scary and intimidating character quite effectively. For very young children, it could be quite terrifying! 🙂
@@CINEKYD_MEDIA_ARCHIVE Granted, but she was scarcely the whole movie. And frankly, she never scared me, mainly because I knew from the book that she'd get her comeuppance! 🙂

I have heard she was a really nice lady and she deserves a lot of credit for playing her role so magnificently. I had no idea she only had 12 minutes of screen time, but she will be forever remembered in one of my all-time favorite films.
Life with us is fun and crazy. Baby Dumpling us and Daisy...
She speaks so highly of Judy and the fact she defended her reminding us she was just a kid and to not take kindly to rumors or gossip going on. She knew it was wrong bc Judy was only 17 and in high school. So so so genuine and kind. Bless her forever.
Margaret Hamilton was a brilliant character actress and indeed, by all accounts, a truly marvellous lady. As for poor Judy, a victim of the Studio System at its worst, in spite of her personal demons, she always gave so much of herself when acting and singing - and she got into character when she sang - that she had little else to give herself. Last year, when I began to conduct serious genealogical research on my father’s side of the family, I was pleased - pleased - to learn that, through our shared ancestors in New England, I was related to a jaw-dropping number of stars of Hollywood’s Golden Era. I was thrilled to find out that Miss Hamilton was my 10th cousin once removed and Judy was my 11th cousin. God rest both their souls.
Judy was sixteen and there's nothing "only" about it; she was a seasoned pro at her job. She didn't need "defending" when she was making _Wizard._
@@Stefano67-h6t "Poor Judy" had a ball making _The Wizard of Oz;_ you can just forget all that rubbish about her being starved, drugged, belittled, assaulted, raped, and all the rest of it. The worst she had to deal with was an uncomfortable corset that she never complained about.
@@MaskedMan66: I do NOT appreciate being corrected - especially if someone assumes that I believe something that I never stated that I did. I have read dozens of your comments about both the film and the Oz books, and I will readily acknowledge the fact that you are an authority on the film and the books by L. Frank Baum. Well, so am I. I was 4-years-old when I first saw this cinematic masterpiece: when it aired on March 7th, 1972. In early June of that year, my maternal grandmother bought me the original novel, much of which I could read myself (since I was already reading to the class in Kindergarten). I was, not surprisingly, quite taken aback by many of the differences between the novel and the film; and, while I have The Norton Critical Edition of “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” in my library, as well as other Oz books, and I feel that Baum had an extraordinary imagination, I feel that the writers of the screenplay made some very good decisions, one of the best ones being to bring the Wicked Witch of the West onto the scene in Munchkinland, to establish her as Dorothy’s nemesis from the beginning. I never claimed that I believed that Judy was assaulted or raped on the set. I have the DVD of “Judy Garland: The Concert Years” (1985), in which Liza Minnelli called her mother “a great raconteur.” While I would not dispute such an assessment, I am not one to put people up on pedestals. However, I try my very best to appraise them in a sensible, psychoanalytical way. When Judy was on the Jack Paar show, she claimed that the Munchkins were drunks. This was a gross exaggeration (in fact, tantamount to a lie), and she should not have said it. In addition to suffering from an addictive personality (which has a genetic component), she may also have had Histrionic Personality Disorder, but her early life was not a particularly pleasant one. Judy was incredibly close to her semi-closeted homosexual father, who died before she became a bone fide star, and there is no doubt that she had a typical “stage mother,” who was a first-class bitch. I myself have suffered from chronic depression for over THREE decades, and yet I managed to get a Master’s degree in Languages and Ancient History, as well as a thesis published. Moreover, around Christmas of this year, my first novel (a supernatural thriller) will be published - and by an actual press; I never considered self-publishing to be a viable option. There is no denying that Judy Garland was brilliant. Not only was she an excellent actress and singer, but she could even hold her own with the great Gene Kelly in that one quite lengthy tap dancing number in “Summer Stock”! Because of my own struggles, perhaps I have more empathy for Judy, who, in spite of her incredible talent, was in desperate need of psychological help, which I do not think that anyone could dispute. As you well know, there was no Betty Ford Clinic in existence during her lifetime. Professional or not, while Judy may have enjoyed making “The Wizard of Oz,” it was by no means an entirely pleasant experience, which you, of all people, ought to know. She hardly had “a ball making it.” Mickey Rooney (who was so close to her that he could not recite the eulogy at her funeral) saw that she was forced to subsist on a liquid diet during filming because she was prone to being chubby. When she could not refrain from laughing when Bert Lahr burst into tears when she swatted him on the nose, Victor Fleming slapped her on the face (which he later said that he felt guilty about doing). I am sure that I do not have to tell you that in the finished film you can see a very slight smile on her face as she dabs at the Lion’s face with her handkerchief. Rooney also confirmed that the studio forced her to take amphetamines and barbiturates, so that they could get the most out of one of their most valued “indentured servants,” which is how actors and actresses were treated by the big studios, as the great Olivia de Havilland acknowledged (although she was under contract to Warner Brothers, not MGM). Unfortunately, POOR Judy did not have the same coping mechanisms as many of her contemporaries. Many artistic people are tortured souls; you are intelligent enough to know this. You needn’t reply to my comment. I have admitted that you have a considerable store of knowledge. All that you should do is not make assumptions about my lack thereof.
@@Stefano67-h6t I didn't say that you personally believed or talked about any of it, but the moment someone starts talking about "poor Judy," it usually means that they have at least given some credence to the lies and exaggerations that have been circulated for decades, and I always think it should be nipped in the bud. Some people don't mind correction; many are grateful for it. Judy always looked back on _Wizard_ as a good time and made many lifelong friends as a result of it. According to the world's top Oz authorities, Judy ate solid food while making the film; it's just that being a normal teenager, she would have preferred cheeseburgers to salad. But she was not on a liquid diet. The slap was a one-time-only thing because they were up against the clock and had to finish the shot before the studio shut down for the evening. John Lee Mahin, who was there as Fleming's assistant, reported that Fleming hated what he did and asked Mahin to break his nose for it. Otherwise, things were great between Fleming and Judy, who had a crush on him, and of whom she said, "He’s perfectly marvelous. He has the nicest low voice and the kindest eyes. Besides, he realizes that a girl who is sixteen is practically grown-up. He shows me all the courtesies he would to Hedy Lamarr. That’s very important to me." Hot his part, he called her his "Judalein." 🙂 "Judy Garland was never given any drugs by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Mr. Mayer didn't sanction anything for Judy. No one on that lot was responsible for Judy Garland's death." -- Mickey Rooney, 1992
Wow 80 was old in 1982 !
What do you mean?
Thank you Miss Margaret for entertaining me through years..sure do miss you..
Hi, what's the song from 6:30-8:00? It sounds really cool but I've never heard it before...
After googling some of the lyrics, I've come up with nothing. I happen to be good friends with the gentleman who appears at 7:08, so I'll have to ask him! He definitely appears to know!
@@CINEKYD_MEDIA_ARCHIVE thanks! i really would love to know that song also!
@@CINEKYD_MEDIA_ARCHIVE Thanks so much! Really looking forward to it. And funny enough before I mentioned it I was going to ask "hey does anyone know that guy?!?!?" LOL
@@CINEKYD_MEDIA_ARCHIVE A nice Redditor solved it for me. It's Bricklin's "Even When You're Done With Me". Thanks anyway for your help!
@@michaelh3414 Awesome!!! Reached out to that guy yesterday, but still haven’t heard back! Glad you were able to find, and sorry we couldn’t have been more helpful!
This sweet lovely little lady terrified me as a kid. 😱😅
me too!
I can assure you, this lovely lady didn’t scare me at all. In fact, I was always brave. Unlike most kids. They developed the fear of wicked witch of the west, but not me + it’ll take her more than what she got to scare me. You see when I wear a wolf pendant necklace around my neck all of my fears, especially towards Margaret Hamilton, who I have a soft spot for her & her son I would’ve loved to have been friends with her since she used to be kindergarten. Teacher would’ve loved to learn from her in her class. She would’ve kept me on my toes.
Wow. I bet you she would love to see how successful her family has become along with her legacy -Miss Hamilton . Her granddaughter is a dean at Notre Dame now.
Still fun to watch on TH-cam Blondie & Dagwood
Nothing beats the classics!
Very funny woman.
Agreed! Great sense of humor!!
I just love this lady. She was a great actress, and what a nice person she is, too. M/s H is so modest and warm. Her life was very interesting. There aren't many actors like her, today, more's the pity. Xxxxxx. ❤❤❤❤❤❤.
@@Gareth-g8e Indeed, she was an absolute class act!
She doesn’t miss a beat she a good story teller❤️
Absolutely! She really was an extraordinary woman!!
She seems sharp as a tack, even at her age.
What a wonderful piece of personal history, I love it!
Thank you! We’re so glad you enjoyed it!!!
Margaret Hamilton was the screen legend of this group. The points she makes about the scarcity of parts for actresses compared to actors at the time were well made.
They are ALL screen legends.
Lovely Lady, with a grand sense of humor beyond her talents....❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Ironically, Hal Le Roy died May 2, 1985 and Margaret Hamilton died just 14 days later on May 16, 1985.
Was he related to Mervyn LeRoy?
Finally, after fearing the Wicked Witch for more decades than you have fingers (at least on one hand), you've given me some peace. My therapist is going to be delighted but also sorry to lose my business. Wasn't Margaret Hamilton a lovely lady? Thanks again!
@@johnyoung2705 And thank *you* for the delightful comment! Quite glad to have finally put your mind at ease by eradicating those feelings of dread!! ☺️
The first TH-cam show
👏👏👏
?
Bless her heart! Great video. Thank you for sharing!
You’re quite welcome!! Thank you for you comment and sub!!!
I remember that day. I was there in the audience. I think it was 1982. It was so exciting to meet Margaret Hamilton. I'm pretty sure the third guest was Frank Melfo, from the Sons of the Desert (Laurel and Hardy club), who organized the visit.
Thank you!!! I updated the description accordingly, giving you credit. I was frantically googling a Frank *Malvo who had worked Charlton Heston - but to no avail! 😅 Also, you're correct - it was '82, NOT ‘83. I'll have to update the thumbnail, too. Pretty sure the DVD had '1983' written on it, but Ms. Hamilton stated that she was turning 80 in December, and she was born in 1902 - so it's pretty east to do the math! Thanks again, Eric, and God Bless!
Oh my goodness, what a thrill to get to be there for an interview with her! What a lovely, dear person she was.
Unbelievable. Love hearing about this.
I envy you!
What a joy she is.
Indeed! Amazing woman all-around!
I wouldn’t say that if I were you Elphaba thropp because the pass will come back to bite you right on the buns I take my words seriously it did that to me once it was not a pretty sight
Miss Hamilton didn't play any "Elphaba."
That was the name of the wicked witch of the west her real name was actually Elphaba thropp The name came from the musical show called wicked that was the name of the character in the story. I’ve read about it. & watched the movie sort of I found out that the wicked witch of the west real name was just that Elphaba Thropp
@@sunshinepeters Nope. In the first place, "Wicked" started as a book, not a musical, and the name "Elphaba Thropp" was invented by Greg Maguire for his parody of the Wicked Witch of the West. But that's just his version of the character. Other versions have been named Momba, Bastinda, Wicked West, Evillene, Sadista, Zelena, and the most ironic one of all, Theodora. The original character, created by L. Frank Baum, didn't have a name, and nor did the WWW played by Margaret Hamilton in the 1939 movie.
@@MaskedMan66 I won’t lie, Margaret Hamilton, a.k.a. the wicked witch. I still have a soft spot for her if I ever did got to meet her in life I’ll make sure to tell her that I felt bad when she got badly burned by the fire but at the same time, try not to be as scared of her like the other children were, since I’ve already reached adult hood it’s best to always remain brave it’s always best to wear a Christian necklace around your neck. It’s to prevent any and all fears that most humans had ever developed in their brains, especially with the wicked witch of the west always remain brave. Don’t allow the fear to get to you.
@@sunshinepeters She'd tell you that she felt worse when she got burned! lol But she would also assure you that she got over it and even joked about it not too long after. Speaking as a Christian, it's better to have Christ in your heart. 🙂 But yes, irrational fear is a thing to be avoided.
I always watch her show , Blondie
So-Called "Penny Singleton wasn't even her real name. She was born Mariana Dorothy McNulty. She obviously sold-out her birth name to the greedy & deceitful 'Hollywood' and anticipation of greater recognition & money. It also implies parental & heritage disrespect.
She sounds just like... BLONDIE!
She was the voice of Jane Jetson on the Jetsons
@@zazaranger5 She was Blondie way before that.
Loved the "Blondie" movies w/Arthur Lake. Always so good!
Read the comics as a kid and Blondie was the favorite out of the bunch. Just started watching the Blondie movies with my wife and I must say they hold up very well to this day. Hopefully our daughters and grand children will have that same reaction.
Great job! Can't wait to watch more!
