Something I’ve noticed is that in the 1st 5 episodes, there’s a lot more moments of Laney clearly liking Corey and Corey being an idiot. But after the cake episode, I think Corey intentionally didn’t acknowledged Laney saying that she wanted him to love her because it made the band split up in that episode until the duet. After that, Laney has what feels like a lot less crushing on Corey moments, and whenever he flutters Laney, it feels a lot more intentional

Love how Corey thinks of Laney as his “Dude” but gets REALLLYYY personal with Laney. I’m taking about cheek to cheek, arm around shoulder, hugs, boops on the nose, even KISSED her and acted like it wasn’t a big deal

What makes this great, you get a genuine transition from actual friendship to mutual romance. I had to learn the hard way last year that closeness to a female friend can be misinterpreted as romantic interest however, it actually shows just how trusting and serious the guy takes in the friendship. Corey genuinely saw her as one of the homies and once he started seeing her as a "girl", one of my favorite equations happens, Homie+attractive girl= love interest. I also appreciate how she was his friend even above her romantic feelings for him. 10/10 writing.

This show was such a fun experience from start to finnish, the characters are soo good man, I'm always in betwenn Corey or Laney as my favorite character, their dinamic was soo fun, and It's soo soo sad that the ship "technically speaking" is not cannon, and one can argue that Corey is oblivious that Laney is a girl, but that's not true, As a boy I can confirm that, Corey is aware that Laney is a girl, he just likes to make fun of her. If you look closely at his behavior with her specifically, he always looks for an excuse to have some kind of physical contact with her, like the classic one of hugging her in any situation or more "specific" things like always caressing or touching her nose or face. At first I thought he was just stupid, but after watching the episode Queen Bee that's where it hit me, more specifically when he said: 10:31 "I got to admit, you make a pretty cute girl, BRO!!" That last bro made me activate a memory from high school, when me and the boys liked a girl we would say things like: "Wow, you look very pretty today...... for a sewer rat you look very pretty but as a woman uhhhh that's debatable" or something like that I don't know. The point is, I'm not the only one who understands Corey's behavior, he really likes Lanes, but he's too naive or stubborn to admit it and he prioritizes the band more than his feelings, so to compensate for that, he's always hugging her, touching her nose and all that. And lastly, no one can deny that the speech Corey gave in the final episode felt oddly specific ;) ;) 25:57 *"one thing soo special that you died to save and be lost without it and losing the one thing that's everything could leave you with nothing, a nothing soo empty and cold you can't even feel the wicked heat that's right beside you"* Hehe Okay buddy, Can you be less subtle with the rizz man, Core my boy you feel hard for her didn't you?
