your quick guide to WGU's pre-licensure nursing program! in this video, i share key information about this hybrid nursing program including program length, requirements to apply, program cost, and my overall thoughts! ♡ tiktok: @itsnursejada ♡ business email: contact.jadarogers@gmail.com link to WGU's nursing program: www.wgu.edu/online-nursing-health-degrees/rn-prelicensure-nursing-bachelors-p...
just took mine last week and its Not hard! there is a lot of hype out there about it but it was very basic and after a week of studying i passed with 86% first try. Dont buy the book ( I never used it) but do use the Smart Academy Hesi 2 online course. All the questions were the same.
Do they have any waivers for the hesi
i’m not sure, you would have to call the school and ask.
If you’ve already taken the Hesi or TEAS and can provide your previous score . No one is totally exempt from it .
Hey you talking so low can barely here you
Don’t you have to have your RN first to become a nurse before BSN because if you go for BSN first you are not considered a Nurse without the RN
no. getting your BSN doesn’t equal becoming an RN, it’s just the level of degree. there are two different degree levels for a RN program, associate and bachelors. either one you choose, you’ll have to take the NCLEX in order to become an RN. this is a pre-licensure program, meaning you don’t have to be an RN or LPN prior to doing the program.
Hey did you need a web cam for the hesi ?
I honestly can't remember, but I don't think so. When you register for the exam, they will tell you what's required to take the exam.
Currently a truck driver since my fall out of my community college nursing due to covid. Thinking about getting back but my Bios and Micro are expired, was thinking about getting 16 credits to accumulate 60 credits and get my associate and then apply for WGU prelicensure, but I am sure they will probably have me take remedial on the Bio and Micro. Thanks for sharing the infos, I am looking forward to your progress towards NCLEX RN
hey girl. i take mine this Saturday. so nervous. 😅
you got this! make sure you study well <3
Fellow owl I just finished the BSN program.
congratulations!!
Its now way more EXPENSIVE than b4
yes, unfortunately that's a bit of a downside. they increase tuition cost due to rising popularity of the program and the demand to expand to other states.
Hey I’m a fellow NIGHT OWL doing the BSN program too 🦉
♡ hey fellow night owl! how are you liking the program so far?
Is that with any associate degree? Or does it have to be healthcare related
it doesn’t necessarily have to be a healthcare related degree but you would have to complete the required prerequisites within your degree. for example, you could get your associate degree in criminal justice but still complete the prerequisites for nursing. the key is just making sure you complete the classes that are required for the program.
You did amazing thank you for answering so many questions
thank you so much; this means the world! happy to help :)
Keep us updated on your journey. I start in March. Just finishing up some courses through Sophia before getting started.
Congratulations! I plan on doing an update at the end of the term (December). So far, I'm loving the program, but I wish I had done Chemistry through Sophia because it's really difficult! Good luck on your journey!
What programs are you taking on Sophia?
Beautifully presented video! Thanks for answering so many of my questions. I just found out about this last night and am gathering info for my daughter.
of course! if you have any questions, feel free to let me know and i’ll be happy to answer them!
